Usually it is really hard to mix binaural beats with music and to not disturb brainwaves synchronisation by that. Thats why I don't do this in every kind of production. It is (almost) only possible if you add a track, that has well matched percussion, bass etc. However after a few feedbacks, that I've earned, I can tell you, that you may try to play any kind of music in the background quietly. It may reduce effectiveness, but still doesn't have to. Just try and notice how you reacts on "pure" binaural beat and how with accompaniament of music.
