I’m so impressed with the intertwining of real history into the story, and the attention to detail you are able to interweave. It seriously envelops you, and makes a re-read so enjoyable - picking up things you may had previously missed. As always, can’t wait for the next chapter. I’m seriously curious about what Mom Giodarno’s arc ends up looking like. It feels like Luca is trying but stumbling, but… sometimes that’s enough. The enabling of his wife however…makes it so understandable where Maxine is right now.

You do such a good job of breathing life into the characters. I'd love to see Maxine and Taylor in 2026, aged 40 at some point, just to see what they're doing now. I could see either one getting into politics and being a West Coast version of AOC. (Actually, come to think of it, that would probably be more Kennedy's thing. But the three of them together would be unstoppable.)
