Nintendo official voted for the popularity of Pokemon. Internet Anonymous colluded to push magnemite to number one. It was mostly online planks, but they kept their promises and eventually made a lot of merchandises. I once wrote this Pokemon novel. they still my favorite Pokemon!

Magnemite was always one of the neater technology-based pokemon in gen 1 imo.
