Vilous | Reference for Agudner Horn Types [Pre-reading the Raw Concept]

The horns of the Agudner are natural hard bone formations, covered with a layer of keratin growing as a top layer. 

On average, the number of horns ranges from 0 to 6, though they tend to grow in even numbers.  There are people with odd-numbers of horns, though this tends to be a case where a pair did not grow normally. 

There are various types of horns, but it is rare to see a pair of horns with entirely different angles and shapes. The size and position are usually somewhat different between the left and right side. 

The placement of these horns can vary from the back of the head all the way to the forehead. 

Horns developed from the forehead to the nose can sometimes make a shape similar to a rhinoceros horn. 

Scraping bone does cause pain, but the horn is softer than bone and there are many people who choose to cut and style their horns. 

Agudners are almost always ambidextrous, though as children, most tend to favor one hand over the other.  Although their horns are generally larger on the left side, it is the opposite side, the right arm, that tends to become their dominant arm of choice. 

You can predict which horn will grow larger in the future, simply by observing which hand was favored as a child. 

As adults, most Agudners use both hands. This is partially in effort to suppress irregular growth of horns on both sides of their head. 

There is an old legend of the Agudner horns:

"Those who explore the truth deeply will cause their horns to roll (grow?) inside their head, eventually to penetrate their brain and lose their life."

Whether this myth is true or false, it is uncertain. However, depending on the natural growth of the horn, there can be pressure against the head itself, so some people choose to cut their horns for safety reasons. 

アグドナの角は、硬い骨の表面を、こぶのような角質が覆う形で生えています。

角の数は平均して０本から６本であり、基本的には、偶数角がベースになっています。しかし、多くの奇数角の人々がいます。それは正常に対が生えてこなかったケースです。

角の形状には様々な種類がありますが、全く異なる形状（巻き角と枝角など）が左右に生えることはまれです。大きさや位置は左右で異なることが普通です。

アグドナの角は、後頭部から額にかけてのすべての場所に生える可能性があります。

角質は、額から鼻にかけて発達し、いびつなサイの角のような形を作ることがあります。

骨を削るためには痛みを伴いますが、角質は骨に比べて柔らかくできており、これを削って整える人も多いです。

アグドナの角は、あごひげと牙同様に、男女共に持っています。しかし、個人差があり、男性の方が一般的に大きなものを持ちます。

Agudnersは殆ど両利きですが、子どもの時は利き腕を持っています。彼らの角は一般的に偏っていますが（多くは左側が大きな角を持ちます）、その反対の側が利き腕になる傾向があります。子どもの時の利き腕によって、将来どちらの角が大きくなるか予測することができます。

大人のAgudnersのほとんどは、両方の手を使うことができます。これによって、左右の不均等な角の成長を抑える事が出来ると言われています。

Agudnerに伝わる伝説に、"真実を深く探求しすぎる者は、その角が内に向かって巻いてゆき、やがて脳を貫いて命を落とす"というものがあります

この神話が真実かどうかは定かではありませんが、角の生え方によっては頭を圧迫することがあるので、安全のために一部の人は角を削ることがあります。
