I'm imagining a linked in-like website for inanimate artwork workers. Lots of posts looking for work and posts like "Hey, here's me as a mannequin. I spent six months in the window at Beth's Boutique, 5 stars."
Reggie certainly looks dapper. Try to ignore the fact that all three men are wearing the same clothing asset. It took a while to put all those extras outside the entrance and in all the seats inside. Can't really see them.
Hey, what's Leona's doing with her foot?
Row One
Panel 1 – Reggie and Leona at the restaurant
Leona: Look at that ceiling. I’ve always wanted to eat at this restaurant. It is supposed to be incredible.
Reggie: It seems Stacy is moving in higher class circles now that he's in the art world.
Leona: Moving? He’s supposed to be a statue. He ain’t moving.
Reggie: Ha ha. Hmm. The only statue here seems to be that one. Although, from here, it doesn’t really look like him.
Panel 2 – Standing by the statue
Reggie: Doesn’t look like him.
Leona: The plaque says her name is Stacy.
Reggie: I've never seen him with his hair down like that.
Leona: Ha Ha
Reggie: Are there any other living statues on display here?
MaitreD: Most people aren't aware the statue is a living person. Do you know this lady?
Reggie: Yes, we were roommates a few months ago.
Panel 3 – Seated
MaitreD: I was going to seat you away from the entrance. But, you could sit here to have a better view of the art piece. The owner loves it. He’s hoping the artist will allow us to keep it all year. There's the owner now.
Leona: It is certainly a striking piece. You didn’t get to see it before it was delivered. Did you, Reggie?
Reggie: No, Meredith didn’t send me a text about Stacy until after the delivery.
MaitreD: Enjoy your meals. Maurice will be your server.
Row Two
Panel 4 – Owner is by the statue, leering at it. MaitreD talks to the owner
Panel 5 – Owner at the table
Mr. Tellani: François says you know the charming lady inside the statue. What can you tell me about her?
Leona (thinking): Charming?
Reggie: Stacy was my roommate before signing up for their current artwork tposition here.
Leona: If you don't mind, I’d rather not listen to him talking about his former girlfriend.
Panel 6 – Owner at table
Mr. Tellani: Oh, I’m so sorry. Where are my manners?
Leona: No big deal.
Mr. Tellani: No, no. I’m entirely at fault. François, comp this table to my account.
François: As you wish, Sir.
Mr. Tellani: Have a good evening.
Panel 7 – The couple is alone at their table, Reggie with a big grin, Leona with a lustful look
Reggie: I hope that’s actually him… her.
Leona: Who cares? Order the good wine. I’m feeling lucky tonight.
