BTS - Plans through End of Year
Added 2024-10-03 04:00:07 +0000 UTCAs of Tuesday that just passed, my ready to publish queue is dry. I have lots of stuff in progress. Including several longer works that I really need to pick from and move forward on. I've got an old work I can throw at the wall. It worked okay with Mannequin Hair, right?
Dry isn't true, I do have 3 stories queued for early December that I could move up. But, I wanted to get Ted's Dolls out before that. One problem: Ted's Dolls Season 4 has 5 completed stories. Unfortunately, one of them is a bonus story and another is story #9 of the normal 13 seasonal stories, and the others are #1, #2, and #4. I might move #9 in the #5 slot. But, that still means I need to get #3, #6, and #7 done. (And that doesn't include Interlude 7, which I want to get to but have put off.)
Originally, I had planned to start releasing TDS4 this weekend. I might still release the bonus story as, it is a bonus. It's right there in the title: Cat's Dolls: A Ted's Dolls Bonus Story. :) (There was a slight retcon. Originally I thought of Cat as being 2 years younger than Ted. But for this, she's only a year younger and turned 18 before Thanksgiving (seen in TD24).) I suppose, given the "seasons" paradigm, Cat's Dolls, if I make another one, would be called a spin off?
Other in progress stuff are:
12k words of a sequel to a Magic Shoppe story posted here 18 months ago and on Tumblr 12 years ago. That there's a sequel at all is a surprise to me as well.
Two stories currently about 6k words in and probably both will be 4-5 times that size. But they play on similar themes from the opposite directions. (And I've wasted too much time wondering if they combine.) Both are mind control stories, one where the controller is unaware of how his power works (in the vein of It Suits Me) and the other where the controller is an imp making mischief. Both take place on college campuses.
Two stories in my Lost Time theme. Both about 5k and probably will be 2-3x that size when finished. They overlap too much after the setups which aren't compatible. Not sure how that will play out. Funny thing: One of them started as a 1k story that I was considering putting out over a year ago. I put it off and put it off and that story bloomed to 4k on my European vacation back in May. All this could have been avoided if I'd published it sooner. :)
And none of that includes finishing the Dude Gals saga. :) :) Or, part 4 of I'm With The Band. And maybe returning to the Little Witch stories (Bizarre Day 9 is a long time a-coming). Nor does it address getting back to The Truth, finishing Five-Minute Girl, or a host of other things I've mentioned and not finished due to jumping on the next idea. (And it doesn't include stories I've not mentioned that I wish were further along.)
The 3D stuff is plodding along slowly and I'm trying not to spend all my time on that. I've been posting random image from that but nothing coherent like the "What's That Noise?" petrification story is close to ready. I'll probably finalize some character designs
Frankly, I think I'm having some mental health issues I should address.
TL;DR
Basically, I am going to fall back to once a week story releases for the foreseeable future. I still have 4 MANIPs in the queue so every other week there'll be that bonus. And I'm sure various 3D images will show up in the community chat.

The latter is what worries me. I have "stuff". I just don't have finished "stuff." As I noted above. A story just spilled into the computer almost whole earlier this evening. I just need the energy to keep typing.

2024-10-03 07:48:09 +0000 UTCLots of creators take a month off and suspend Patreon for the month. I've not seen anyone object. If you need a little time to recharge, you could take it. (Downside is that sometimes coming back from a break is hard...)
