I didn't love season 1 of The Last of Us like other people did, but I enjoyed it enough that I'm curious what season 2 has in store. Right outta the gate, they've added Cutie-I-Wouldn't-Mind-Seeing-On-Screen Kaitlyn Dever to keep me interested! But will it be enough to counter my disinterest in Joel & Ellie? Or maybe they've actually improved their story / relationship?? If not... hey, at least this season is shorter!

The way they handled Season 2 is so disappointing on so many aspects. They changed too much, unfortunately, and whatever they didn't change doesn't have a natural flow; it feels like they try to keep hitting certain beats as if they're going from video game levels to levels. A huge step down in the quality of the adaptation from Season 1 Although knowing the overall material, story and what they're trying to tell and how much better everything all fits together, if you get the opportunity, you should definitely play Part 2 because it's right up your alley. If you end up consuming this story from the show, you will have received such a watered-down version of it 😔
