ARIEL SCOUT VOTE

HERE IT IS, the FINAL SCOUT VOTE... Well until I make the MIND and GHOST scouts special reward tiers... I always planned on keeping those two last scouts as unlockable. But now, when YOU decide how Ariel will look, I can finish up working on the playable scouts and switch my focus entirely to quests, and designing, uh, other human character... Don't worry, you'll get to vote on PEOPLE designs again in the future.

Now, unfortunately to vote on Ariel, you will need both the capacity to read and think simultaneously. Here's how it's going to work. FIRST, do you like her 1st pose, or 2nd pose? SECONDLY do you want her in the brighter, CLOUDSUIT? I feel she might be a little too water coded so I was playing around with her suit being desaturated and lighter. FINALLY, which HAIR color do you like best? I designed her as blonde, but I kind of liked the shock of cherry red, can't go wrong with a bluenette, and I also am partial to the black.

Purely for fun lets look at the original Ariel design back from over a year ago... I teased this on the f95 forums, which I WILL be returning to shortly. Yikes:

I'm glad I threw her back in the oven. Also her scarf WAS red. Originally I was thinking I wanted her to have a more realistic body suit, helmet, and parachute, so it was conceivable she would RIDE on the BACK of a flying monster as an airborne trainer.

I wanted Tesla and Ariel to be tall, and to have ASS FOCUS, so they were turned away from the camera. The winged helmet felt very WIND type, and I kept the backpack around because I figured she wouldn't fly without a parachute.

But it wasn't working out so a few months ago I went back to the generator and started molding more on posing for Tesla and Ariel. The windswept scarf didn't really sell her free spirit and WIND type enough. I made her blonde, opened the helmet, and once I started giving her light open armed poses I feel like it came together. Again, I am not trained as a visual artist, so I really rely on either generated molds or (irl) pictures of models and costumes to shorthand where I am putting shadows, and the basic silhouette. Funnily enough many of our favorite monsters are often famous cosplayers or models I like with actual monster bits cut out and pasted over as I try to model things. Obviously I am always trying to get away from just [hot lady with chromatic flesh and shit glued to her head] (star trek alien budget) and deliver more inhuman monsters, with appealing shapes. Reminder: I do everything by myself.
