There is not a single animal on the face of the Earth -- not even chimpanzees -- that can cross breed with humans. The idea of humans cross breeding with aliens is completely unworkable. My suspension of disbelief is pretty stretchy, but there are limits.

2025-09-07 22:31:00 +0000 UTCCapitalism is by far the best economic system we've come up with so far, and has raised more people out of poverty than anything else. But the technology of Star Trek / The Orville would change that. Replicator technology, the complete automation of the manufacturing process, unlimited free energy, and access to the resources of the galaxy, would make any conceivable consumer product so cheap as to be essentially free. That's the "money no longer needed" situation they're talking about.
