See I think it’s the other way around. Bones has always been independent and she finally started sharing her life with Booth until she ran with their baby. She did essentially become a single mother for a few months and though she definitely missed Booth, she was perfectly fine being an independent mother. So, coming back, having to force herself to integrate back into a relationship again, share the parenting responsibilities, it’s hard for her. She basically has to relearn to trust Booth in a sense. The only thing that really would have triggered me was Bones accusing Booth that he was saying she didn’t know how to take care of “her” daughter. The language she uses with Christine right now, is very much, she’s my daughter you’re just hanging around. They had an initial time of happiness being back together, but they haven’t actually dealt with her leaving him and Booth loosing out on the first few months of their daughter’s life.
