Master List 1.34
Added 2024-11-01 19:00:09 +0000 UTCMade some changes for readability this month; I went through all my monsters and color-coded them, so hopefully it should be a fair bit easier to find the good stuff in the catalog. I wanted to do it with highlighting rather than changing text color, but homebrewery is having difficulty highlighting things in a table of contents for some reason. I'll keep fiddling with that, though
Also, I drew some deep sea creatures if anyone wants to see some deep sea creatures.
Collaborations:
The Red Quills Mapmaking did even more maps to go along with some of my favorite stat blocks; you can find those for free over on their patreon, and can see their creation process along with some excellent musings on the philosophy of map design in their videos:
Making Better D&D Tavern Fights (Ruffians)
How to Make a D&D Tunnel Challenge (Ratfolk)
Drawing D&D Dungeons for Combat (Black Earth Cultists)
Making a D&D Fortress (Dao)
Making an Open World Map (Earth Elementals)
Mapping the Boss Fight (Ogremoch)
Stuff You Should Check Out:
PaperDemon Art RPG. It's an RPG you play by drawing or writing fiction about your character; each week there are prompts and you draw or write about your character dealing with them. It's got all the brain-tickling MMO skinner box stuff like XP and loot and fashion, but instead of sucking up your time and giving nothing back, this game helps you get over creative block and develop as an artist.
The Gunslinger Class by Heavyarms Someone was asking about a gunslinger class the other day and I realized I've never really told people how good this is; Heavyarms' Gunslinger is probably tied for the best 5e (2014) 3rd party class I've seen with MCDM's Beastheart, which is incredible given that he's just one dude. Clean balance, resonant flavor, and elegant mechanics. Big recommend.
Upcoming in November:
Got Tiamat and her cults in the pipeline, along with the start of the new 2024 adventurers. I think the 2014 adventurers were the first big thing I made with the intent of sharing it; in a lot of ways they set off this whole project, so I really want to do something interesting and useful with these; I hope you'll like how they turned out!

Comments
The images are left out to avoid mail from WotC's lawyers, but there's a big pack of token images that a patron put together in a pinned comment in the discord's Digital Tools channel

2024-11-07 00:31:37 +0000 UTCDownloaded the foundry module - lovely resource! Only complaint is that none of the images seem to be in the folder for any of the monsters. Is there an older version of the module somewhere that has images?
