In regards to boruto being big brained his uncle is Neji and his grandpa is Minato. Both were regarded as geniuses. He's got the bloodline for it even if his dad's a doofus.

Episode 140 is useless too lmao SPOILER: It's just a fight between ino and sai. Actually the whole arc involving himawari and inojin is useless

It ends 34

it really forces you to watch a lot of filler that you dont want to, but then again i never minded Naruto fillers. Most people skip them , and those are the kind of people that dont like Boruto. Just like the Naruto series though some filler will be awesome and some will be,, meh

the biggest thing about the Boruto series is that theres episodes that are like filler for most of the episode but then there will be like one small part to where there's something crucial to the story, but besides that it does get more shit than it deserves , the overall direction for story telling is great it is just the execution. I still have faith it will get better and better

There’s filler but they don’t market it as filler but we all know that’s not true. Even when they released a guide of important things for the Kara arc. The studio listed the following eps: 1-39 51-66 128-136 141-151. If the studio and people behind the series really meant what they said that there’s no filler then should just promote all eps. But that wasn’t the case. Do you think when they’re promoting one piece, they’ll just skypiea, drum island in the promotion. No they won’t cause everything matters. But the fact they don’t even mention eps 71-91, signals to me that while the core theme is probably important from that arc, the arc itself is pointless. Boruto still acts the same way even though the arc is over. When there should be changes. Let’s not even talk about Sarada who hasn’t changed since ep 25. They give Mitsuki the occasional eps about owning a pet and having dreams to signify something. But that’s hollow and poor story telling. A viewer should see the impact throughout the subsequent arcs and it’s impact on the characters not just the one off episode

When does the bell test happen?? That’s your answer and that’s when the academy ends.

Kingjasco

Pretty sure he summoned it. Explained in ep50 I think

The arc where someone dies. If you take out that person’s death. Does it change boruto or anybody or the world in any shape or form. The answer is no. So pointless. Which is why that arc is the worst arc to me. The arc tries to be serious and the idea is good but the execution poor. I’d take the cho cho arc over it because it’s short and it’s fun. That arc is not fun, not engaging and not thoughtful. The central theme is thoughtful but a theme or idea is not what makes a story good. Do something with those themes. Also the 112 and 113 mean nothing. So what someone becomes a chunin. Tell what the takeaway is outside someone became a chunin. If there’s no takeaway outside the fact that someone became a chunin. Those two episodes should just be a throwaway line. It’s not like outside that mission the person who becomes a chunin gets any change in their role. If i skip these eps, do I lose track of the story. No. So the answer is clear

I put ep 16 instead of 17 cause not enough iwabe and denki and 17 doesn’t tell anything we will learn about Sarada eventually. So not needed. Ep 97 means nothing tbh. It’s fluff. Even when advising people on what to watch the studio stops at chunin exams and then time slip then mujina. So if the studio is saying that. They already know ep 97 is ultimately going nowhere. Ep 138 is not worth what we learnt in that episode. That episode was good because it originally aired during the Christmas holiday so it captured that. The plot it addressed from shippuden was merely an after thought. And it’s clear from the episode

Kingjasco

You’re lying. The creators have constantly called everything in the anime canon

Zee

The academy is no where near 30 lmaoo

Zee

Someone important dies in that arc lmao.. what are you talking about 😭😭 and leaving out 112 and 113 is dumb

Zee

Boruto didn't summon the creature. When he tried doing the summoning, the culprit used that chance to summon it at the same time. Also mitsuki means moon in English that's why he says he wants to see if boruto can be his sun so that boruto's light can reflect on him.

Daniel Gotenks

nothing's wrong with an opinion :D

Heisuten

Skip episode 16 and put in episode 17 instead. 16 is worthless while 17 is a character establishing episode I'd keep episode 33 too for some development on a character he already likes Episode 97 should be left in as well as again, that develops an important character and new moves are learned Why'd you leave out episode 112 as well? That's where a character becomes a chunin. Episode 138 is also kind of important too since it wraps up a plot thread from Shippuden.

I agree with this list, honestly

KoKo JoJo

Link? Because As far as I know nothing has officially be labeled filler....

KoKo JoJo

Imma be honest. The only thing that ever got me to watch boruto was to see characters from shippiden and OG naruto. I don't like most of the new cast. Its fine if you like it, just saying my opinion.

astherphoenixxx96

I honestly like Boruto. My friends and I all watched naruto seperately and cherished it, but we were worried about boruto because we heard such bad things, but then we watched all of boruto together and caught up and honestly, it's pretty good! Has a ton of potential especially considering some of the fights are better than most of the fights in shippuden and that's what has me hopeful for the future of the show. I'm glad you both are enjoying it aswell

Lol there's already like 30 episodes so far that even the anime creators label as straight filler. I also consider every "anime canon" episode that falls under the umbrella I described, i.e. nothing of any consequence to plot or character development happens, as filler as well even if they don't call it that. That's about 1/3-1/2 of the "anime canon" so far, so yeah, there's a ton of filler in Boruto IMO.

Also eps to watch 1-16 18-25 26-32 34-42 43-48- watch this if you want to 50- watch the last five minutes 51-66 70 71-91- the arc is okay but, at 22 eps you expect more progressive development. Watch if you really want to. But to me from such a long arc, you expect the arc to have more consequences. The development in this arc is never mentioned again so... 93-96 98-103 106-111- Kakashi, guy and Mirai 120-137 139-154 Any episode excluded adds nothing tbh

Kingjasco

Academy time is like 30- something eps. Also cho-cho is the only female character in Naruto to me that is generally funny. Like there characters have funny moments but cho cho is just funny. I’m not surprised as to why she’s super popular in Japan.

Kingjasco

No filler in boruto

KoKo JoJo

Hey man, I'm not down on you enjoying Boruto at all. Personally I just never clicked with him even after he gets more development, but we don't have to like the same characters. As for the series, I liked the first arc about as much as you are liking it, but it just started to drag and get insanely boring and overloaded with completely filler episodes and it killed it for me. No spoilers of course, but there are a fair amount of episodes coming up where literally nothing of use happens. Everything with character relationships and motivations and development is in exactly the same place at the end as it was at the start, and it wasn't even an interesting watch. I also hate that they couldn't figure out a way to make the new gen relevant without sacrificing the character, strength, or both of original series characters. But if you enjoy it then by all means, keep on keeping on brother.
