If it was destiny then Naruto would have killed Sasuke. At the end of the day Naruto would've easily died if he have not trained. Just because you are the reincarnation of someone does not mean that you will be as strong or that you don't have to train because "destiny" will just give you strength.

It's true that Naruto was gifted power from the Sage but you can't forget that he had to grind hard to get to that point, if he didn't grind a hard as he did then he would've just died and the cycle would've went on. Naruto himself chose to never give up and pushed himself to gain his own power, that power allowed him to get up to this point.

Bruh you seem to be forgetting a whole bunch of Naruto's story if you think he was just handed a power that made him this strong. He had to not learn sagemode befriend the nine tails and all the other tailed beast. Honestly if Naruto didn't work hard and put in that work, he more likely would have been captured by thhe Akatsuki or died much earlier leaving it to another reincarnate to end the cycle. Naruto was chosen specifically because of what he been through and the sage believed and Sasuke could be the ones to end athe cycle.
