The Drydock - Episode 355

00:41:05 - What happened to the ship's bells of the WW1-era HMS King George V and its WW2 successor?

00:42:20 - If the United States Navy hadn't been forced to severely downsize in the years after the Civil War due to Congressional financial recalcitrance, how do you think the Navy would have developed its fleets during the Ironclad Race?

00:51:59 - Was there ever any thought given to upgunning the Tennessee class to 16” twins after the collapse of the treaty system?

00:55:06 - Ships pilots in the era of steam and steel?

00:59:01 - Are there any naval topics (pre-1950) you discovered are politically highly sensitive to this day and how do you deal with them?

01:11:26 - What happened to the other colonial navies?

Q&A: Re: 00:06:59 - How many roles can a single ship type take on before it becomes to much? From the photo accompanying your answer can you identify the destroyer and how has her hull got into the condition? Is that all rust?
