Dakkka!

Comments

Just for a moment I thought maybe Drach had discovered the weapons in working order and having found the traffic a bit wearisome and its drivers annoying. Always wanting to be of service no matter the country he was in maybe he had decided to eliminate an overpass or two, then maybe some of it's less polite drivers as well… either way I'm sure it would have helped.

But hey, the great thing is not only that they work, but that you are permitted to manipulate them! One can see a yellow stripe at one of the gun mountings, perhaps that one was off-limits?

Andrei DESCULŢ

First comment to make me actually snort in a while. Well done.

Well when the USS SLATER went from escorting convoys in the Atlantic versus U-boats to the Pacific theater, during her refit they thoughtfully decided to upgun the AA arsenal and prepare her for the dreaded kamikaze attacks. Oh, and to give a future historian something to play with later in life. That is along with her many visitors!

I really wanted to buy a ship like this but then they wouldn't let me put everything I wanted on it. If I did I'd be a pirate and these days with anti-ship missiles, pirating just isn't any fun.

USN in WWII: There's an open spot on the deck there. Put a gun on it. Put TWO guns on it!!!!

Daniel Kunkle

They're all on a ship with entirely too much deck space. Needs more dakka!

Gregory Albert

Your answer, 'They all work', sounds about right for a tin can. That's how we sailed- no frills, just get the job done.

Vintage Car History

Oops.

Can’t imagine how loud it was when the Japanese were coming to visit the ship on duty!
