Have you ever covered the evolution of the turret? If not I'd love to hear about it.

I think the miniatures do well for fleet and gun engagements, but I wonder how well it will work with primarily air battles such as Midway and Coral Sea.

Regarding your question on the models: Color them however the hell you want. What I personally look for is the scale of the battle. As you know, engagements depicted in the movies are not at the ranges that reality had them- so a visual, scaled depiction of the ships and the comparative ranges that these battles engaged in based on said scale is quite brilliant. There's not too many places on-line that that kind of eagle-eye view can be found.

End Q you asked on Jutland Part 1: I thought it was awesome. I appreciate the extreme amount of laborious detailed effort it must be to lake that video. I am all for it as long as your mental stress is acceptable.
Please note: I was against the live presentations until I heard you state how much less effort they were compared to heavier research and effort and time they saved. That wasn't obvious to me in just the format difference. I would rather keep what it was than burn you out, and vice versa to keep you from burning out. I could not do what you do with my current work.

The desk was HMS Resolute (which I'd love to see in the list, talk about trolling as diplomacy). USS Chesapeake (or a fair amount of her timbers) ended up as a mill, which still stands as I understand.

Laying down some string or pipe cleaners would have made the British mistake in fire allocation much clearer.

RE models: I found myself able to follow it most times, but to be very honest, with hour long specials I do tend to get side-tracked. Somewhere around the 5th battle squadron turn I got a bit lost. Not necessary a problem with the models, but I wouldn't mind a few text boxes indicating the position of the units as mentioned, to stop me second guessing myself.

RE models: The ships were pretty obvious, I felt. But I think a Post-It note on the back or side of the ships would be useful.
