Q&A: If the length to beam ratio determines speed and maneuverability, has any thought been given to adjustable shape hulls, so that a ship lengthens when it wants to go fast, and shortens when it wants to be more maneuverable?

Regarding adding more engines to the effect of raising the hull out of the water- Well, they did do exactly that with the Pegasus class...

Q/A: You are in charge of the Japanese Navy in early 1941. Which admirals do you put in command of the major fleet elements (Kido Butai, the various carrier divisions, First Fleet, Second Fleet, Third Fleet, etc) to achieve maximum effectiveness? Who has early retirements/transfers?

What have WE done to the language? Harwich, Bosham, Worcestershire...we took them as examples. Not to mention Dido. ;)

Glad to hear the trip is still on. if you have extra days due to some museums closing down (assuming you havent already bought plane tickets) there are a lot more stops in the Wilmington NC area within taxi/uber distance of the USS North Carolina. just 15 min away is Fort Anderson/Old Brunswick town which is a CSA costal fort and early colonial town museum. and on the other side of wilmington is Fort Fisher which is a coastal Star fort. Good luck, and safe travels
