This sounds like a great idea to me, because I can't remember whom this valkyrie is or where they came from.....

2026-02-06 07:20:27 +0000 UTCAs someone who is on reddit. It’s fine but… people don’t actually know what they want. So don’t think reddit or consumers are right. They (and me) mostly just know what we don’t like.

2026-02-06 06:12:52 +0000 UTCI'm with the other comments. Full recap is a bad idea, unless you start a new book with it. So it might be relevant for publishing the books, but not for the webnovel version where you post one chapter after another. If you want to reintroduce a character that was not around in a while, especially a minor character, or tie into an old event, you can do it with short in-character monologue, or even dialogue.

2026-02-06 03:13:20 +0000 UTCYou can add a sentence or a descriptor to remind people, but imo a full blown recap doesn't make sense, unless it's a pre-chapter for the book (like Primal Hunter), or chapter 1 of the book just references the past a bunch and acts as a semi recap (like Victor of Tucson)

2026-02-06 02:45:15 +0000 UTCNo recaps, ever. Gross.

2026-02-06 02:36:23 +0000 UTCI don't mind natural in text recaps, where the character reminds themself but full blown anime style recaps are...
