Lol its a little absurd how far she has gone for the crusade honestly. She's literally helped them relentlessly through like several life and death missions and in a full on combat scenario all while barely getting paid. She's not even really a double agent she joined to steal a ring, stole the ring and then stayed. I really want her just to come clean, but it makes sense that she hasnt since the whole reason she is still in the crusade in the first place is she is just awkward in so many ways lol. Materially she looses very little if she cuts herself out of the crusade, emotionally though its kinda a heavy bag. She's taken bullets for them, and they have saved her life and I think she's come to find at least some of them as the closest friends she has in her friend list of like maybe 10 people

There has been a lot of pregnant pausing and eye-contact-full-of-meaning around her recently. Like, self deception can only go so far when they're staring you in the face and saying "we know people are lying about who they say they are, 'Zuko'. Listen to this story about how i also started here under false pretenses. ". Plus like, Cues should definitely be pinging this as "hey, they know". The training was gambling based, iirc, an opponent knowing your cards would definitely come up.

I don't think Hope is the patient type, if her probing remarks don't lead to "Zuku" coming clean, then she'll probably get more direct and clear the air. Since the entire squad seems to have similar histories, I don't think things will really change. Perhaps Zuku gets a special designation since she's an undercover asset. You know, from a certain point of view. ;) That would allow her to maintain the current independence and the Crusade would know that she isn't a regular squire and more a contractor you call for certain projects. Shiro has so much stuff going on in her life ... lives, actually... that she can't really afford to work for the Crusade fulltime. Definitely not in her real identity, who owns and runs a corporation. Also, if her connection with the Crusade deepens, then Ligh will become a permanent fixture in her merc bar (once it opens) and that will drag the wrong clientele into the place.
