Daily WIP - Notes about my Shading Process

I'm honestly still playing around with my process for this here and there, but generally I use a 'multiply' blending mode with 1-2 layers.
One layer (which I haven't added here just yet) is a flat color, sometimes with airbrushed gradient/erased sections, and is what I use to set the general shift in tones to suit the lighting of the scene ^^
The second layer (which is the grayscale one I have here) is a more detailed render layer where I paint in ambient occlusion, or at least my attempt at it haha.
