Am I bad at doing the WIP images throughout the month? Absolutely,, but I'm very slowly getting back to myself and getting on top of my workload.
So let's start with how I get started with new models each month: inspo boards.
I use a free program called Pure Ref that you can download here.
PureRef is a simple program that let's you drag and drop all of your images into the canvas and rearrange them as you see fit. No need to have 52 preview files open all over the desktop, when you can dump them all onto a single canvas and then save it to come back to later.
There's no need to save images to your desktop first either.
Typically I open up Pureref and drag my inspirational images directly in from Pinterest or Google.
I collect images that give me the vibe of the theme, and I choose a wide variety of art that I like for all different reasons. Poses, colours, styles, themes, style, clothing, etc. Many I plonk in there just because they make me happy and help prep me up for the new project.
I stay away from copying any one image directly as re-creating someone else's art to then sell irks me. Without an artist's express permission, this isn't something I'm very willing to try.
