Welcome aboard! Wow, that's so interesting about the way the breeds are classified. And I love that you saved your pup's life! It was meant to be! Don't worry, you'll see much more of Joey (husky) and Phoebe (german shepherd)!

Now that you’ve seen this one, I’d highly recommend Spinal Tap (a rock n’ roll mockumentary directed by Rob Reiner). The cast includes several notable actors you’ve seen in Best In Show. Also the mockumenatary Waiting For Guffman, directed by Christopher Guest. That is the follow-up to Best In Show, sharing many of the same cast. Another great one is The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash, a mockumentary following the exploits of a fictional band, The Rutles, satirizing the life and times of The Beatles.

German shepherds (my favorites, having brought up two in my youth) are typically in the Herding group. This includes dogs whose primary role is in use in tending and protecting livestock. Obviously some dogs in that group have been put to use in other fields like law enforcement, search and rescue, and some as guide dogs for the physically impaired. German shepherds are one of the most diverse in the herding group, but most herding dogs are very intelligent and can be trained easily from an early age. My first German shepherd was bred by a family who specialized in seeing-eye dogs, but she didn’t pass the rigorous tests. The couple gave her to their son, who soon after, gave her up to a local shelter, where I adopted her. I saved her life. She was one of the best dogs I’ve ever known, loyal, smart, funny, and sweet. I hope to see more of your shepherd on the channel, and more of your husky!
