Although the first movie was more of an achievement, having succeeded against all odds, I do prefer this one The sequel also feels sentimental for those of us that were inspired by grungy underdog Clerks, and were privileged to be young during that mini-renaissance of film & music at the time, now growing up with the characters who left their youth behind in the 1990s
