2025-04-19 10:27:21 +0000 UTCI personally see the "war people" comment as being primarily a cultural issue. Sometimes the US gets very territorial about language, and finding a way to distinguish someone as a non-civilian can be frustrating if you don't have the same history with language. Marines will get bent out of shape if you call them a "Soldier" rather than a "Marine" for example... but in the end it is folks choosing to get butt-hurt over words and take offense where none was intended.
