Tbh Mera and Scarlett were very neutral with their reactions in this episode. I think the fandom amped up the episode saying it had a lot of drama... the whole bitterness of it all was just unnecessary. Everyone seems to have very differing opinions on the whole saga this season, I think regardless the truth maybe lies somewhere in the middle. The biggest issue for me is maybe just Rupaul favouring the queens she has judged previously which really has put a sour note on the season overall.

The day I have to just go along with the majority to not get attacked is the day I no longer want to make content or be on YouTube. Mera and I giving our opinions honestly is what puts our channel on the map and sets us apart.

The reason Mera’s channel is my #1 go-to for DR content is the way she expresses herself but is never hateful to any queen. I do not agree with the sentiment to “just go with the majority opinion”. If that were the case, where would we be as a LGBTQIA+ community? The majority of opinions were against us for a very long time (and still are in some places). It’s voicing yourself no matter what the majority thinks that is true integrity and gets my respect.

And unfortunately, content creators in general need to watch what they say to lessen or avoid hate comments/cancellations. Sometimes it’s better to just go with the majority opinion to save your livelihood.

The fact that you all keep attacking her so much just for her opinions is really ridiculous. I can understand why she wants reviewing this particular season to be over because who wants to be attacked every single time they have a their own opinion. It’s just really ridiculous. Everyone needs to be able to be free to express themselves without being attacked all the time.

2024-10-05 13:39:28 +0000 UTCAnd to add: regardless of how Pythia’s makeup looked, Kween calling her a man was not only rude, but made Pythia really uncomfortable (Pythia identifies as nonbinary, so it was REALLY awful of Kween to do that). I really hope Mera chooses her words carefully in this week’s Mangled Morning when recapping this drama, because Kween is Public Enemy #1 right now, and Mera doesn’t want to deal with openly agreeing with her right now.
