I watched the show when it aired (it was not good, but one of those guilty pleasures that every teen would watch), and yet, did not find it funny, apart from Pupi and Carmen. The script had basically nothing to do with the original, there wasn't much of a reference or anything :/

They were doing a parody of "Física y Química", a TV show that was a huge hit in Spain back in the day (one in which judge Javier Calvo got is first big acting break), so a lot of the humour had to do with their spooky interpretation of these well-known characters. I never watched the show so I didn't find it super funny, but I'm sure that for a lot of people who did watch it, and in Spain that's a lot of people because it was huge, it must have been.
