That was one of the earliest and I believe the first time I ever drew Krystal of Star Fox Adventures' fame. At the time I barely was scratching the surface of what digital painting could do ( still had to draw on paper and later scan the image and used a mouse to do the colors ) That original drawing holds special significance to me because it spurred my resolve to dedicate my efforts to become better as an artist after a very long dry spell of uncertainty and doubt.
Krystal has such a beautiful and deceivingly complex design, is it any wonder she is still a fan favorite?
Please enjoy this new take on an oldie but goody cerulean vixen. ^_^

As I mentioned before, Krystal seems like a simple character but once you get into working out the detail of her you realize just how complex she really is: the armbands, jewelry, fabrics, tattoos, fur, hair, staff, etc. Any artist worth their salt should draw her at least once just as a test of skill.
