Update - Smol & Shork

This is going to be a bit of a blog post, but - hell, y'all read stuff all the time so it should be no problem, right?

So first, no worries - Smol is going to come out tomorrow (Monday 2/1/2021) but I wanted to have a bit of a private forum to discuss the delays in smol, and what's going on with Shork Cop without dragging the entire internet or discord server into things. As you all are my patrons and the entire reason I'm able to do any of this, you deserve the inside scoop.

For those of you not in the loop (or who don't read the A/N or are not on the server), I was involved in a car accident on 12/29. My family and I are fine, but between dealing with lawyers, dealing with doctors, dealing with two insurance companies and finding a new car, my plate has been full. 

I hate that it's taken away time from writing, but the good news is that we'll be done with the lion's share of the work this week - Wednesday, to be exact. Which means there should be (knock on wood) no major disruptions to smol moving forward. I'm going to try to get a double-chapter out (or at least a oneshot) as an apology for the reduced flow of smol, and we'll resume our normal shitposting levels moving forward.

 Shork Cop, the reboot for Technically Sentient, is... unfortunately, and beyond my control, dead in the water. I have been working with my co-writer, Amphetanon, on the project, but if life has kicked me in the jewels it's kicked him in the teeth. There's a lot to unpack, and I ask that you give him his privacy, but due to circumstances outside both of our control we're going to have to shelve Shork for a bit. 

What I can promise you is this: I will not make any teaser, hint, or announcement of the continuation of Shork Cop without the entire First Arc being finished beforehand. 

It sucks to be yanked around, and we both really thought we'd have the scheduling and time to deliver a good story and a good product to y'all. It's unfair to you, our readers, to hype a story and have it die - then hype it's return only to have it die again. You deserve a good aquatic adventure with shorks and feesh, and we're going to get it to you - come hell or high water. (hah!)

That's basically it. The Visual Novel is on-track to be finished probably by end of February, so we're only ... 3 months late. It'll be free (thanks to y'all!) and an entirely new story that you get to shitpost in.
