Judging by the screen, we got the big boogie about to round the corner in its usual patrol, going for the vent will likely get us spotted and grabbed before getting to safety. Going right could fail if the alerted boogie made the big one turn around, but judging from the screen, it looks unlikely. I'm voting on going right.
