Think of this way. Spike will never buy a large shirt for himself to wear, so she kinda had to do it. Spike's a tiny lil' dude.
The shirt logo I guess is supposed to be the Ponyville town seal on it. How official, lol! Why would she buy that? I am not sure. Who's decision was that?
That last scene looks like a cozy spot to be. That would be nice right now...
