Being copied into the AI

Have you guys seen this shit, even puts watermark like he owns it https://twitter.com/Rui3DElsa/status/1669131397456330753?t=dHiceDL7o-Fp3Ryrj9lMTg&s=19

That’s how you know they’re jealous

Kaitenova

Yeah, I've seen a lot if that. I've seen artwork that I know was from other artists i follow and it makes me sick. There are some legit ai artists out there who do amazing works of their own but there are too many that just do this crap.

Isamu

I definitely need a better GPU...

Hopefully they'll do the right thing. DA is trying to backtrack now, but it's too little, too late. There's also the fact that a million AI churners making ten bucks a month are a lot more resource intensive than a thousand actual artists making the same total.

You can't use it ethically because even if you train it only on your work all you're doing is typing a prompt. Just learn to draw.

randomuserforstuff

You can do it, but its recommended a better gpu

The watermark right in the middle 🀣

Patreon still haven't done anything, i saw an ai user with 1k patreons, pure taking advantage from someone that never done anything artistic or never touched a drawing tablet

Rui Jorge

Couldn't see it because I don't have a Twitter account, but just from the comments it sounds bad. I hate it when people try passing AI art as their own. Freakin' useless people 🀬

Z678Vash

Wow.

I was thinking about doing AI stuff (which i would be doing if my GPU wasn't a 1060) but i'd ask for permission if i use someone's style or image. You know, do this ethically.

KingR

That is annoying, and doesn't look as good. Users should comment on his post "original piece by [artist] posted on [date]"

Thankfully we're headed towards the end of this garbage. Sales sites have banned it, (https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-05-12/dlsite-ci-en-pixiv-fanbox-fantia-ban-ai-generated-content/.198000) countries are treating it like copyright infringement (https://www.siliconera.com/ai-art-will-be-subject-to-copyright-infringement-in-japan/), and, as everybody already knew, without being able to steal people's artwork it doesn't work (https://venturebeat.com/ai/the-ai-feedback-loop-researchers-warn-of-model-collapse-as-ai-trains-on-ai-generated-content/). So just like NFTs and other tech garbage, it's going to fade away. Good riddance.
