Devlog: Oz and Void Vision, Game Guide, Other Goodies

Howdy folks!

Oz/Void Vision And Animated Events:

Let's start things off with a preview of what our events in our game will look like with Oz (Above) and a premiere of his new track, Void Vision by StriderTempxa. We are currently animating all our mystery events and story encounters in a Live2D fashion to give them some SAUCE. Originally they were all just 2d images but I felt they were too static so we decided to do an animated pass on ALL Of them. Oz above is how he will show up in game.

August Demo Roadmap/EVO:

Some updates on a new roadmap- We are currently working on getting our ACT 1 demo done for August to deploy to all backers. Atm we just need more content and polish, so here's a breakdown of some items in progress the team is working on:

A) Fridge bots are being animated and will be added as a mob faction (We currently have about 5 enemies you can face)

B) Bomb jack (Aka la bomba) is a new enemy type we're adding with a minigame attached

C) Drill buster miniboss is being prepped to give at least 2 miniboss options in the demo aside from Juggernaut

D) Godbuster boss is being prepared as the final act boss

E) Kiera is being prepared to be playable by EVO in local multiplayer. Only Volley will be playable in the roguelite mode by August though

F) More artifacts, events and moves are being brought online for Volley to round out her kit

A Preview Guide:

We've been getting quite a few questions as to what exactly we're cooking with the single player as it's a major focus of what our game will be about.

Publishers in general (In the United States) have expressed to us since we started they are basically allergic to fighting games and have no idea about them (Before that they told us sports games are dead as well). In general this does seem silly and might be part of the reason why the industry is in a bit of a shit place atm due to genre averseness.

But- We are really excited about the single player we're building. It hasn't been done before and the early testing has been great. Combined with our story focus I think we're onto something quite unique here. Rigman put together a guide for you guys to prime you on what the game loop will look like (This is what's being sent to publishers testing our game atm).

The only thing we're missing atm is a hubworld when you die, which we plan on building out soon. Due to you being trapped in the paradox dimension, death is not the end friends.

So in conclusion, team is full speed ahead. If you're considering upgrading your tier for Patreon lately- All proceeds will go towards paying for our EVO attendance in August. Demo will be deploying later that month! So stay tuned for more details.
