Alrighty folks, it's time to mix things up. Typically most of these guitar parts are in either the funk realm or the meedly-meedly shred zone. This one on the other hand is in the textural ambient floating in the clouds realm. So turn on the reverb and let's dig in!

This part wasn't written to show off or anything, but is moreso about creating a nice lil' soundscape on top of the other more rhythmic instruments.

The main idea here is that the guitar plays cluster-y sounding chords. If you know intervals then you'll see that while chords are usually build on 3rds, these chords are unique because they have 2nds in them. This gives the chords a bit of dissonance and beauty that can just rip the tears right out of your eyeballs.

Without overthinking the theory, these chords all consist of notes from the C minor scale: C D Eb F G Ab Bb. That's all I was thinking about when writing this one, wasn't too caught up in what the exact chord names are.

Getting the sound right is key. If you have any delay or reverb it'll go a long way. Also, chorus too! In the recording all 3 effects were used.
