Thanks for the sweet riff to start the new year. I'm looking forward to more lessons this year and seeing you guys live! Thanks a load!

Might be nice to get something on setting up tones? Sometimes you have a little on that in these. I don't know if that would be too equipment specific though.

Everyone talking about the music but I’m more concerned about the fact that phibbis owns a zz plant and an aloe Vera and they both look really healthy 🥰

Great song. Great riff. Great lesson, as always. Personally I'd really like to see some more commentary on the songwriting process, and why you've written these riffs in this particular way. I.e. integrating your style of guitar within the larger musical landscape of TWRP, deciding on what to play and in what way, when to stay in the pocket vs. when it's time to shred, etc.

Also, since I fully missed the caption yesterday--my favorite stream episode was Phoboshop and hearing about how all your different guitars serve different purposes, and what they excel at. I'm not sure how it would fit into a video structure exactly, but I'd love to hear more in that vein!

I like that idea a lot!

Thanks Krissy!

It's definitely worth knowing after you've gotten a good handle on barre chords and confident finding them/naming them.

There's definitely some common techniques that keep coming up in a lot of these songs. It would be worth doing a few explainers on them. Thanks!

Wow a very happy new year to the long and sturdy microphone arm specifically! 2021 is off to a (very) cautiously optimistic start! As for ideas, I had a thought — I often see questions down in the comments that are difficult to answer in written form. It might be cool to post a call for questions (regarding general technique or more specific to songs you’ve covered here) and choose a few to answer in a video. It’s not necessary but if you’re looking to shake things up, might not be a bad idea!

Nice funky start to the year! I second An Empyreal Child's post, the videos are really helpful! Maybe sometimes there could be a short warm up exercise at the start of the video that connects to a concept in the song? I appreciate when you mention things like the scale a piece uses or CAGED shapes. That helps a lot too. Have a rockin New Year!

Happy new year, teach! :) Hope you're doing well! I was so amused after OTT dropped, because this song sounded so familiar--only to realize that y'all sneakily opened last tour with it! So we actually got two new songs early that tour, hehehe. It's perfect for an entrance song, so bouncy and high energy and fun! So question: is the CAGED system worth looking into? I've got a tutorial open but to be totally honest, it is a lot of words currently for pre-caffeine-on-New-Year's-Day, haha

Shiro

I like what you're doing now. It would be cool to have some sort of practice routine ideas for getting better at specific techniques like ghost notes or improving dexterity in third and fourth fingers.

Happy New Year, Phoob! The rhythm in this is absolutely delicious. I would like to see more snake plants on this page. :)
