Oh BOY is this going to be a big one! Okay, so the last two weeks two big improvements have happened. The rework of the clothing, and a general workflow update. Let's start with the workflow update.
For those that don't know, twine games are bassically just a single text file that contains EVERYTHING. Despite being a professional programmer, in the past I've always used google drive to share versions and literally exchanged filed with the other programmers to get them up to date, or they send me their work. Well, that's no longer the case! Summer Growth has gotten a lot more professional, let me tell you!

What that hellish graph shows is that each color of thread is a different version of the game, with its own changes and adjustments. This means that I can for example work on the clothing rework, while my co-programmer adds grammar fixes. When we combine the versions, everyone is up to date as the program automatically syncs the different versions! For any tech people here, yes version control is super simple but the basic version of the twine engine wasn't as compatible with it. But, we're here now! And let me tell you, it speeds things up a ton.
The clothing rework! The last weeks I've been busy integrating the last clothing rework demo into the game itself. The beta-version I linked above has the basic loop (buying, discarding and outgrowing clothing) 90% in it, and I think it has a far more solid foundation now.

This is the new shop screen; in the upper table you find options to filter on specific types of clothing and with certain styles or bonuses, to make sure you can WAY easier find what you need.

And, the sizes are now displayed right in the dropdown, allowing you to see what does, and doesn't fit! It makes the entire shopping experience way easier, and I hope that together with the rebalance of clothing where they break less often, but will have a bigger impact, it'll simply be a more enjoyable system!
While this demo has a ton of bugs, I hope you can all ignore them to enjoy the new beta! Feedback here would be most appreciated, as during this stage it's always important to know what people think! So please, do let know what you think!
And last, next week there won't be an update as I'll be taking a small vacation!
