Here we are, with a small demo this time! Since the release two weeks ago I've been busy at work stabalizing the game, and continuing working on the clothing rework. This time I decided to start small, and create a independent demo that would allow me to rapidly see what works, and doesn't work.
So first, the good. This demo contains the wardrobe scene as I imagine it. The player can now from a single screen equip and unequip their clothing. The fit system has also been dumbed-down a LOT; instead of now tracking all kind of independent systems, I pushed those to the background and boil them down to three outcomes; a piece of clothing fits, is tight, or doesn't fit.
Clothing will also receive bonuses now. When the player has two of the same bonus in their outfit, these will give all kind of gameplay benefits! I'm also reworking what does, and doesn't allow you to go outside. After all, a nice big hoodie would make sure people can't see your lack of a bra, now would it?
Another new aspect is the addition of styles. Clothing now has styles, and some styles the player will like more than others, and also give a bonus if the player is wearing it. NPC's will also be able to react to it!
All in all, I really hope that these additions make the clothing system FUN to interact with, instead of the roadblock it once was. I still got a LOT of work left to do with it, but it has my focus.
And please, your feedback is vital in this! So let me know what you think!
