The feeling of hopelessness when the Night King raised the dead Dothraki, Lady Mormont, etc....!

Theon's redemption kills me every time! Incredible story arche!

However, I did enjoy your reaction a lot. Good stuff, as usual!

This the episode where, for me, it went downhill really fast. Like I was so hyped and pumped for this, I thought this was gonna be the best episode of all of Game of Thrones and midway through I was already so conflicted, I realised they really botched every single aspect of this and it all left such a sour taste in my mouth. The army was decimated, but suddenly she still has an army to fight Cersei, what, did they tuck em away somewhere or where on earth did it come from? 0 stakes, none of it mattered, makes 0 sense. The strategy, planning, it was so terrible and felt completely useless in every regard. So many characters lived where they should have died, and you know they will survive because of plot armor unlike in previous seasons where you had no idea what was gonna happen, you knew it was all possible but here it all felt artificial and you knew what was gonna happen after they showed only the main characters fighting in their corners and somehow not dead, even Sam. The killing of the Night King was a joke. For me, maybe it was supposed to be Arya, maybe Jon, it doesn't really matter who - just how they did it was really terrible. It's like they somehow built a foundation and from that tried building the largest castle to exist, all of it on quicksand, this is the best way to describe this episode. It structurally all collapsed and fell apart and made everything, even the good parts, like Theon, not matter or seem so unsatisfying. And now afterwards we go back from death vs life to petty kingdom squabbles and Cersei? You gotta be kidding me. It all feels so off and dissatisfying, rushed, no stakes & terrible writing. It was not like the battle of Helms Deep or Minas Tirith as they wanted it to be. It was just very bland and horrible in every aspect tbh. I still continued and watched it until the end (I've actually seen GoT 1-8 twice now) but yeah, Game of Thrones season 8 is still the worst piece of television I have ever seen. Time doesn't change this realisation, just reminds me at each time. Such a shame.

Completely agree about everything you said about Theon. What a story, the best part of this episode and the best character development in the entire show & one of the best in any show, Imo. Also a lot of people is getting very caught up about the Arya blue eyes line. It's more about "What do we say to the God of death" line / "prophecy". The night king is supposed to be the God of death. Great reaction πŸ™πŸΌ

Jon should’ve killed him

The writers really botched the tactics used by the living.

Arya is a servant of the God of Death. Wights/White Walkers are a cheat, an abomination, they're neither dead nor alive. All of them stolen from the Many Faced God. To me it's always made perfect sense.

The biggest disappointment for me was that Jon didn't kill the Night King. I felt like that was always his purpose, or maybe not his whole purpose, but a huge part of his storyline. And if we think about it, Jon was always the one fighting against White Walkers; the one who always had the most tension with the Night King. He was with the Wildlings, on the Wall, a steward of Mormont, King in the north, and a Lord Commander, but all of those things that he was- he was always something that had to do with the North, and logically that does make sense because he was born and raised by the Starks and all of that- but somehow every place that he was in, everything that happened to him, was connected to the White Walkers, or they would have been in the end. So i feel like they just wasted the whole storyline that they had build in a one episode, with Arya killing the Night King. And don't get me wrong, I like Arya, she's cool and her storyline is amazing, but the events that happened to her were not connected to the White walkers/the Night King at all. Great reaction though! Keep your head up, Barry.
