Today we kick off double the episodes with our first Demon Slayer for the week! It's episode 5. Last weeks episode was crazy at the final selection, it was the best against the best. Will we spend more time in the mountains or fast forward a bit? We are about to hop in and find out.
But what a sick episode! What is the pitch black sword exactly? Could be good, could be bad.

You have to remember that these demons were people with lives and families before they were turned. Just like how Nezuko was a human girl and sister before she was turned. Someone already explained this but he could tell that the demon was feeling sorrowful and his memories from when he was a human were coming back.

Hence why he smelled "sad scent" when the demon was dying and having a flashback of his life before he became a demon (That is why Tanjiro held the demon's hand and preyed from him because he sensed the demon was tormented by his past memories of when he was human and he ate his older brother when he turned. Tanjiro can't hear or see their memories only smell their emotions) You will continue to see this throughout the show as Tanjiro fights major demons. (Side note: The longer a demon is alive the harder it is for them to remember who they were as a human, thus, is why that demon was sad when it had official died because he remembered his life and that he killed his big brother and then when with his brother in a sort of happy memory) This is also how you get to know how the demons were before and how they became demons. There is one more rank (besides the master) then the 10 listed but you will get to know that later down the line (for demons too), as well as the question about if demons exist too or if humans become demons. Hopefully that's an understandable rundown for now. Really enjoying these reactions!
