Today we are watching Death Note, Ep 27. Last episode was PIVOTAL! Such a huge moment. We usually have a hard time believing deaths around here but this one seems very real. But we had a little twist at the end, how did the message change things for Light and his plan? Let's hop in.
Fun episode today. It's 5 years later and we have met our new antagonist. M and N enter the investigation and we can't wait to see where they take the case.

very interesting take! I can totally see that. Although I do miss L this new development has me VERY intrigued

2025-05-20 23:41:03 +0000 UTCI wouldnt say there are any black and white characters in this show, they all fall under the morally grey category with some leaning more to one side than the other but generally still grey. I know a lot of fans dont care for Near or Melo as much as L but honestly I think separating L’s character into 2 who take on different aspects of him, who are working towards the same goal while working against each other just adds a whole new angle and energy to the mix. While Near embodies L’s rational and analytical aspect, Melo embodies his risk taking, quick judgement and adaptability. But they seem to be more amplified in these departments than L, Near seems almost too emotionally withdrawn and robotic whereas Melo seems way too chaotic and risky. Much more interesting and refreshing for the show than just bringing in another L
