We are kicking off the weekend with Death Note, Ep 26. We have been looking forward to this one all week because last episode we said GOODBYE to a major player! We really enjoyed the character and will miss L. But who else stands in Light's way? And just how far will he go? Let's hop in and see what we find out today.
Lots of symbolism happening. But what was that ending? We have theories. But today's episode goes by quick and leaves us with lots of questions.

Light was 17 and in high school when the series starts and maybe 18 when L dies, so it's a 5 - 6 year time jump when Light is 23 and now a member of the police force

2025-05-18 01:22:50 +0000 UTCI agree with you guys. Light killing the con artist and the hacker is probably because they are people who personally knew L and worked for him. So to make sure the news that L is actually dead and Light is replacing him stays a secret, he is covering all bases since Light has shown from the beginning, he doesnt like to leave loose ends. The orphanage getting the transmission of course is something he could never have known about. As for the rest of the police force, they are sort of his puppets at this point that he needs to put on a show so killing them is both unnecessary and counterproductive
