We are kicking off the week with an all new AOT reaction. It's S3 E3 today. S3 is a very different storyline then we are use to. It's a lot less about the titans, but we are meeting a lot of other new characters. Excited to find out how they will end up coming together later on.

2024-08-27 17:17:38 +0000 UTCAt this point, it's not clear yet about the origin of Titans so it's okay to still theorize about this part. But with everything that you know at this point and to confirm your understanding: 1) Ymir as a "pure titan" for 60 years, ate one of Reiner's comrade - an "intelligent titan" as you've learned in this episode. 2) These "intelligent titans" are also called Titan Shifters (i dont remember when they were called this but hopefully I'm not spoiling lol.). Meaning, titans that can shift from humans to titans and back to human form, the likes of Eren, Annie, etc. (again, origin at this point is not known yet). 3) When Ymir ate one of the titan shifters, she acquired his abilities, turned to human form again, and from just a pure titan, she became a titan shifter. 4) You're right about the titan abilities. Should Ymir ate Annie instead, she would've been a titan shifter with the same power like that of Annie. 5) To get the titan power of Eren, Reiner was trying to get him eaten by pure titans he was throwing at them in the previous episode. The main information/logic here is, you can only become a Titan Shifter if you ate one as a Pure Titan. So... I'll let you theorize from here lol. Hope these helps! A lot of revelations in the coming episodes. Very important ones!
