Everyone is in it for themselves, and if anyone else is enjoying what's happening that's merely a side effect rather than the whole point and purpose of what's being depicted. The most obvious examples of this are what I call "Poles In Holes" scenes in which cocks are going into holes (pick one or more), but each of the characters involved are simply existing in their Own World(s) and aren't actually "engaging" with their sex partner in any way aside from mashing genitalia into somewhere. The point I'm making here is that there's a tremendous difference between having sex to get yourself off and having sex to get your partner off. Unfortunately, Tristan was especially guilty of engaging in selfish, rather than selfless, sex acts … particularly with Cerene. For almost all of his screen time with Cerene, Tristan is more interested in getting off himself (even though that's the quickest way to lose Cerene's challenge) than he is in getting her to climax.
