Hello!!
This is the simple episode I mentioned earlier. The more complicated ornament project comes tomorrow... :D
Craft Along livestream is this Sunday at 3:00PM EST and we'll be making peanut-butter buckeyes (With a twist! ) More to come on that soon :)
Loved the simple format!

This format was great. It helped make the project seem achievable. Loved the music as the transitions into the next parts.
Looking forward to the next one I'll be watching in a few minutes, lol. I'm behind but I truly love sitting down and binge watching episodes and rewatching the older ones.
Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. ๐๐๐

This ornament is so nice! My 4 year old son loves spiders and would go crazy for this ornament. โบ๏ธ๐ธ๏ธ๐ท๏ธ๐ค I like the mini episode video format as well.

Beautiful projects as usual!
Soldering takes practice. Like in her video, you heat the surface of your project, not your solder wire. Then, you lightly press your solder wire because you don't want bubbles. That's where the art of soldering comes in, no bubbles. Practice a few times to get the hang of it.
There are also several thicknesses of the wire. Flux is also a whole thing. Don't touch flux with your fingers, it can irritate the skin. Watch videos on how to use flux.

Thank you for this - it looks amazing. Some additional info: gauge 28 jewellery wire is 0.3mm wire in EU. This would be quite striking in gauge 20 (0.8mm) wire and could be wire weaved instead of soldered (as it will hold the shape on its own). Like Christine, when buying supplies you also want to use jewellery wire not lace wire (that's a different gauge which is thinner). Thank you!

Oh Christine, youโre such a tiny step away from stained glass! I dream of doing up a window in that old house. You totally could.

Id love to make this much larger and place in the corner of a mirror, I think that would look fabulous. Feeling inspired.

This turned out so glittery and shiny on the tree. I love how the golden spider contrasts wiht the red web. Good job! I think adding a few simpler projects (1 or 2) throughout the year might be nice.

I am in love with this project! Now I see I need a saudering kit! With some practice, I think a great tool to have for many more wire projects. Thank you for starting me with new tools for my hobby room!

Such a fun episode! Your ornament is the perfect holiday craft to fit in.
I've always liked these smaller craft episodes/ideas, and they make a lot of sense for months when you have so many other obligations like your shoe collaboration launch!

Christine have you ever made a jeweled spider for your Christmas tree? Folk lore story long ago about a woman living alone with her small children she brings an evergreen tree into the house they have no decorations for. The next morning they awake to a beautiful shimmering tree~ of spider webs. It is said that you will have good luck if you have a beaded spider in your tree. They are easy to make.
