Also, just saw this. "A Bloomingdale Bar Honors Betty White With a New 'Golden Girls`Cocktail Menu'. For example, Rose's cocktail is named, 'St. Olaf Daiquri'. What I found was even better though was that if the general manager, Dylan DelliSanti, is working there after 9:00 and someone orders one of those drinks, he will do a tarot card reading for them on his themed Golden Girls tarot deck. If we want pick out a horror (horror/comedy) movie she has done, I would like to suggest "Lake Placid ". It spotlights a resilient gay character, it deals with gay marriage decades before it would be legalized without batting an eye, and it isn’t afraid to show a beloved character in a negative light in order to teach a valuable lesson. Favorite episode of all time is S1E19 "Second Motherhood" - it's just so funny with the toilet gags. Second favorite is S7E2 "The Case of the Libertine Belle" as it's got a murder mystery! Although I love any episode where they are lounging in fabulous robes, such as S1E21 "The Flu" or S1E25 "The Way We Met." Side Note: my FAVORITE outfit of all time is S1E5 "The Triangle." Blanche's green/mauve/brown flowy number when she's at the minibar - perhaps you can recreate it one day! I knew I was a lifetime CM fan when you gave a house tour and described the TV in your bedroom as just a vehicle for Golden Girls :D

Betty was my cousin. I remember spending time at her house with Allen (Lunden ), even playing with the “pop up” sign at his game show, Password WITH Buddy Hackett. LOL As her fame grew, her circle of friends became smaller thusly, cousins were not given access to her any longer. It is what it is. I’ve heard Oprah & Mariah endured crummy experiences with family members and their fame & fortune. So we understood but disappointed. She and my Mom played together a lot. In fact, my Mom and Betty share same facial features. Her life and career were remarkable. She was super kind to me, helping me navigate her large kitchen when I wanted a glass of water. I’ll never forget. 🥂💝 So long Betty! 💋

I have to give three, but there are so many good parts. My favourite episodes are the one where they have the flu and they are fighting about watching Another World, my Mother used to watch that soap. They are in their robes for most of that episode and I love when they are wearing their lovely pyjama sets with matching robes. I also like the walkathon episode particularly the scene where there is a misbehaving child who smashes all the other children’s art and after a beat Rose smashes his too and then cheerfully talks about what to do next. I also like the episode where they are all in bed together, because the heating isn’t working, the pjs and robes are in full force in that episode too. It would be interesting to see a Christine McConnell episode making a robe and pj set or a livestream making cheesecakes.

For many years I enjoyed watching the Golden Girls. I can't select only one favorite. Betty White was a very talented and gifted person. My favorite character on the Golden Girls was Rose. Will miss seeing the very talented Betty White. I am very excited that you were able to open the higher tiers. I am now a level 4 tier member. I hope your eye surgery goes well, and make sure you get enough rest after the surgery. Even if you have to wait a while to start doing projects. It's hard to pick favorites, but here's some: Old Friends (my favorite Rose episode), T'was the Nightmare Before Christmas, Rose Fights back, and The Case of the Libertine Belle (murder mystery). In the live stream the other night, you mentioned that you don't play video games. That made me think of the Nancy Drew video games by Her Interactive. Great, fun, adventure games has Nancy Drew (played by you) solving mysteries in various locations. It's adventure gaming with puzzles to solve and clues to find to unlock a mystery, solve a crime and so forth. I have a lot of favorites. Some you might like would be The Ghost of Thornton Hall, Midnight in Salem (which is their newest one), Message in a Haunted Mansion, Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake and lots of others. One Youtuber named Arglefumph is a Nancy Drew games champion who has videos of game walkthroughs that help if you get stuck and don't know how to solve puzzles in the game. Dare to play!

I hadn't watched Golden Girls in years, decades maybe, and then on 12/30 after hearing it mentioned in a CM tutorial, I downloaded Season 1 and got blissfully lost in it. I laughed so hard! (And got choked up a few times.) It was like sitcom food for my soul. And, of course, I fell in love with Betty White and Rose all over again. So many lovely and so many hysterical Rose moments in just that season to start with. I loved episode 19 when we're surprised to learn Rose knows plumbing. I love how Betty delivers Rose's inspiring super can-do DIY attitude. "If the Egyptians built the pyramids, now, we can move this toilet."

One of my favorite episodes is "Blanche's Little Girl" where Blanche's daughter Rebecca comes to visit and almost ends up marrying horrible jerk who kept insulting Rebecca. My mother, whose name was also Rose, absolutely loved this show and watched it every day. My Mom's been gone for 10 years now and even the mention of this show reminds me so much of my Mom. I miss her so much. But the most memorable role that Betty White did was on The Mary Tyler Moore show as Sue Ann Nivens, the Happy Homemaker. The most hilarious episodes were when Sue Ann was always trying to get Lou's attention. She was so memorable and so funny on that show.

Betty White (as Rose) was a genius at her delivery...Her timing was impeccable...Not only was she over the top funny, she was also able to convincingly portray herself as SO naive! I love that about Betty White. She could deliver the funniest of lines without breaking character. My favorite episode of the Golden Girls is the one where the girls fly to St. Olaf because Rose was being awarded a medal. They are in the plane and Dorothy is complaining about the trip. Rose says, "Could be worse. We could be going to Beaver Falls." Then a man wearing a parachute chimes in and says... "Beaver Falls? That's my stop!" Then he pulls a red ribbon, opens the cabin door and jumps out. Hilarious!!!! Betty White will be missed. On a side note, my mother's name was Betty Green and she just passed away on November 1st. Both Betty's will be remembered as important women in my life. 💔

Sophia: There's one in the tool drawer. Dorothy: I think you'd better take a sedative before you look. Blanche: Don't be silly. I look at my face all the time. How different could it be leaning over? Oh, my God! Oh, my God, Dorothy, why didn't you tell me about this before? Dorothy: Only on your back, Blanche. That way everything slides back and you look like you just had a face lift. Blanche: Oh, you're right. I'm gorgeous. I'm gonna have to meet men lying down. Sophia: I thought you did. Dorothy: Of course that way, not only does your face fall back, but your chest does too. Unfortunately, it falls back and off to the side.

While I’m in love with every episode, there’s a moment in season 4 episode 4, where the girls are flying to St. Olaf for Rose to be rewarded as a local hero. They’re in a small plane and Rose says” could be worse, we could be going to Beaver Falls” and a man sitting behind them says “Beaver Falls? That’s my stop” and pulls on a string, gets up with parachute on and jumps out of the plane while the stewardess is filing her nails. It’s the first time I cried so hard laughing that my stomach hurt for a while after.

My daughter Tanya had the honor of organizing a dinner event for Betty White a few years ago while she was in town to be honored by the San Diego Zoo. Betty called her over to thank her, sat her down and held her hand for 15 minutes while asking Tanya about her life. Old Friends! The hilarious Fernando storyline really balanced out the bittersweet Sophia storyline. It was so satisfying to see Rose shove Daisy out the door!🐻 RIP Betty. So glad she was happy, healthy, and hilarious right up to the end.❤

I just started watching G.G. again from the beginning, and honestly, the pilot, when Blanche thinks she’s getting married, and Dorothy throws Rose in the closet because she wants to tell Blanche she has a bad feeling about her husband to be— I laughed out loud through my tears yesterday. Any episode will warm my heart. Oh Betty, we miss you already.

Happy New Year Christine and Captive! My favorite is in Season 2 when she decides to move to Miami. It is called "A Piece of Cake". Rose is so torn about leaving her old life behind, but excited about her future. It's a very touching and poignant episode that many of us have had to experience.
