Tracy Lollar

I loved this episode! Can't wait for more photography tips from you 😊

Julie Holtz

I was such a super fan of you’re Netflix show. I love this Patreon stuff sooo much. I love you letting us in on your tips and tricks. And when you showed us your grubby work clothes. It made so so much more real and personable. Also, how to you know so much about everything?!?! Love this new stuff and can’t wait to see how the creeepy mansion turns out!!!👻🙀😻

Joseph Bailey

Christine I love all your videos! This one is sooo helpful as I’m starting to get into photography and I feel like the style I’d like to focus on is fantasy 😄. I’m familiar with photoshop as I’m a web designer but showing how you edit photos is incredibly helpful!!!

Flower Love

I’m a photographer and this video is one of my very favorites you have done! This was incredibly inspiring! I cannot wait for more photography tutorials!

Kitty Lang

I love anything to do with photography, I’ve been doing it since 2012 ❤️

Amanda Smith

We watch one portion of this video on repeat in our house because my cat is completely obsessed with your cats. He never pays attention to the TV, but he will watch 30 seconds of this particular video forever. :)

Vixi Vale

I am seriously blown away by this! Every video I watch I cannott believe the amount of talent and skill Christine McConnell has <3 Truly amazing.

Selene

You are sooo fantastically talented!! Thank you for showing us this crazy cool process. 🥰

Patience Carlson

I luv'd this video. I'm an amateur photographer and this information is fantastic!! I'd luv to learn more from you. You explained the process far better than others do. Thank you so much, I look forward to watch more :)

Deborah West Shaulter

Loved this video!

Nancy Jones

Sorry, not sassy exactly, I think possessed is a better description of it LOL. I hope he's channeling some spirit energy from the house! Cat medium?

Jess Meister

This is so cool, really appreciate seeing your techniques with photography and editing. I would definitely be interested in more videos like this one!! Also love Professor Poof's sassy expression in the photo lol.

Jess Meister

This was so amazing. I would love to get a copy of your family portrait to download, if possible? :) :)

Carla Morgan

This is the best - I can't wait to try this!!!! She makes it look so easy!!!

Emily Masterson

omgosh I absolutely LOVED this. You also explained the aperture, ISO and Shutter speed in a way I understood! Same thing with the PS program. In another life playing in PS and toying with graphics was my relaxation and I truly enjoyed it. This made my heart happy and I may just pick this back up.

Michelle Ford-Copley

Just wanted to share that I took some of the tips from this video as inspiration for my latest photoshoot for my brand :-) Thank you! https://www.instagram.com/p/CSuf3gwJaJx/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Brandon Redenius

Amazed by everything you do 🖤 fantastic episode

Shelley Anders

Super loved! Fantastic valuable information for anyone and everyone… you are too magnanimous for sharing your pearls! 😜😘🥰💚💚💚✌🏼

Dora Villanueva

Okay, LOVED THIS! The whole process was fascinating, but not only the photography aspect, I loved how you incorporated a hairstyle tutorial smack dab in the middle of it! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 it all deserves a slow standing ovation. Bravo 👏🏻 love it! Looking forward to seeing whatever you’re working on next!

Shelby Snow

Thanks! I just bought an 1865 manor to restore in Virginia and have so many ideas for Halloween. It’s going to be my forever home.

Janie Monares

Hello Janie! I got mine at Spirit Halloween last year :D They should just be opening stores again soon :))

Christine McConnell

When she changed her dress color I flashed back to Sleeping Beauty "Make it pink!"

Erin Anderson

I love this! I look forward to more photography (and possibly video?!) videos! 🖤🖤🖤

Cassandra Nelander

1) Halloween themed stained glass suncatcher 2) Pets! 3) Someone else’s house obviously

Coll

holy smokes this was amazing to watch i'm a first year photography student and you explained things much better than they did at the studio i work at three days a week!! i especially loved that you gave it a spooky twist, as always, and i Was curious how to do that in photoshop and with the general setup! i'm so excited for further videos along that vein thank you so much!!!!!

Cindy Albers

I hope you send out this photo to patrons. I loved seeing this process.

Jenna Homan

Oh my gosh sorry I didn't see this. Sure thing. The main companies I've used and friends have used are Wacom, Huion, and XP-Pen. You can get a decent grahpics tablet for 100 or less from all 3 depending on the size. If you want a screen monitor you can physically draw on, it does bump up the price. Again, all 3 brands there do varying sizes depending on your need that can run from 300 to well over 1-2k. Wacom is the most well-made and supported, XP dont have great customer support and Huion is middle ground. Huion have sent a HS610 to test recently and it was great and is around 50ish depending on sales etc. it's super lightweight and thin. Amazon usually have it cheaper than the main sites too unfortunately. Hope that helps. Theres always good reviews on youtube too if you find a model.

Matthew Robert Davies

I can’t find a fog machine that takes regular ice. I checked Party City and had no luck. 😩😢

Janie Monares

Thank you so much for the detailed insight! We are getting ready to make it public that we have purchased our 187-year-old home (which we actually purchased 3 years ago and have kept in hiding... We're magical like that), and I think doing something like this and creating a card will be the coolest way to announce two people we've moved to states away and have this really awesome old house now! Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Michele Hellstern

1) Creating handmade perfumes. 2) When I am accepted by owner's pets (preferably cats :D) 3) Behind a new built wall in the basement...

Jotei

1. I would like to make over an old sewing box and button tuft the lining in the lid. 2. A soft warm blanket makes me feel comfy at home. 3. Pigs can dispose of a human body in 8 seconds!

Alaina Jacobson

1. I'd love to make a vintage dress with you then spend the rest of the day dressed up living our vintage life. 2. Pets. Any furry friend is home. 3. Well if they're dead they may as well go to good use. I'd cut them up and feed them to the feral cats that live in our barn.

Hanna Gilmour

I finally had time to watch this! I love it! Makes me want to get my camera out and create something

Krissy Smith

Thank you for sharing your talent, techniques and gear set up. This is always a work in progress for us.

Frolicking Chronicles

I’m spending the morning in bed pretending I’m on vacation drinking coffee watching this wonderful episode… very interesting content. Have a Great Day! 🐝

Miss Pam

OH MY gosh , this was so awesome thank you so much

Sam Hussey

Beautiful family!! What perfumes do you wear?

Rachel

I am over the moon you did an episode like this. Amazing video. You gave me so much insight into what's possible. I love editing photos. I zone out doing it and hours pass by, but it brings me such joy! I feel like there is soooooo much to learn! Can't wait for you to do more photography videos!

Diane Keetan

I also use an A7iii, what lens was that? An 85mm?

Jessica Harmsworth

Hi Christine! I loved this video, thank you for showing all the detail and work you put into setting up the scene. I have a hair question: did you set your hair in rollers with your clip in extensions (or hair additions) already in?

Sarah Rodriguez

Just finally was able to watch this…Fantastic episode! I love watching the details that go on in the background 💕

Kimberly H.

One of my favourite episodes, thank you. Definitely interested in another photography and/or photoshop episode. Beautiful family portait. Here in France incandescent lightbulbs have been banned from sale and production for a couple of years now...

lisa alderton

I love it! I took photography classes but still feel like I have so much to learn. Thank you for re-inspiring me to pick up my camera again!

Theresa Clay

I was wondering where you got your black candles from? I noticed the candelabra from last year and saw that the candles weren’t really burning but they looked like they were! (I’m rambling here) I’m so ready for Fall and Halloween!

Brenda Fairbanks

Absolutely amazing and all of you look hauntingly devine

Chelsea Dreibelbis

I just need to say I just opened an article about Cuomo and the headline picture was of the governor’s mansion up in Albany- I legit thought it was Christine’s house and was so confused.

Genevieve Fernety

Need the two new music tracks <3

Codie K Conklin

This was incredible!

Stacey

So is the captive technically in this photo twice haha?

Eric Becker

Hey, Christine, did you know your book is now available on Kindle?

Deb McGrath

And Here I thought your pets all posed at the same time lol. This is amazing, Did you have it printed and displayed in your home?

Magen

I never would’ve thought to layer photos like this, especially to help get the best poses for pets! I learned so much thank you!

Lexie Moser

Absolutely phenomenal!!! 💖

Adeola Ogunsanya

I LOVE THIS!!! You're freaking AMAZING!!! Would love more information on photographing pets too!

Suzanne

Woooooot!!!!

Kate Pierovich

Thank you soooo much for sharing this! My husband and I love taking spooky photos around halloween and though I feel like I have a fairly good eye for composition I really don't have any formal knowledge on how my cameras work and have very limited skills and knowledge on editing software. I am so excited to try some of what you showed us here. I'd love to see more videos like this in the future. Cannot say thank you enough. Your photo turned out so creative and gorgeous (as always!!). Much love to you.

Nicole Yarnold

This is sooo amazing. I have always been scared of PS, but you have answered a lot of questions. I'll be watching this through a lot.

Elizabeth Goans

This is officially one of my favorite episodes. I don’t love using photoshop, but now I feel inspired to try out some of these tips!

Amanda Hargen

wow this was one of the coolest things i've ever seen! I want to photoshop now!!

Emily Masterson

This was *incredible*! I used to have a used canon SLR that I'd take everywhere but alas it has seen better days. This makes me want to get back into photography again! I'd also love a photoshop walk-through as you mentioned. Thank you for this!

Christina Rodriguez

I love your photos. They’re so unique. I well as photos of you, I would also love to see food photography and the photoshop process of something spooky. 👻 🥧

Griss

Commenting again to say I big-time vote for a nice, long Photoshop livestream. There is so much I want to know about this program and don't! AND on my second watch, I noticed your monkey head in a cloche. Fantastic!

Racheal Jones

So many great tips. Love the image! The hanging bat is *chef's kiss*.

Kimberly Olson

This was awesome! Thank you so much

Meagan Thompson

I've been wanting to photoshop my wedding photos to put my husband and I into a more exciting backdrop, as I didn't have the budget for the stupendous decor and location. These tips will make that possible and fun! I have a very fun photo of me brandishing a knife with a smile on my face immediately post pie-cutting (opted for pie instead of cake) and it will be very fun to edit! :)

Alexandra Conrad

I'm primarily a natural light photographer so this was really interesting to watch! I'd love to know your lighting set up for when you're sat talking to the camera too :)

Megan Sennett

I really enjoyed this one, one of my favorite. I love doing photography and I’ve never thought about using photoshop, to make a ‘montage’ like this, it’s gonna make the future photo shoot so much better and really fun. I thought about one with my child ! And since having a good family portrait with a child is not always easy I’m gonna use your tips. I’m totally interested by a photoshop livestream to learn more. Take care 💕

Cindy

The portrait is uniquely you and very beautiful! Thank you for sharing you knowledge and experience! I am an old school shoot film and develop photographer, but have had to come to grips with moving on to digital images and editing. Photoshop is a wonderful set of tools and I am always learning new ways to use the features, but it can be slow going, trial and error...Getting your tips and tricks are a real leg up for me. Thank you!

Angela Binford

This was so interesting! Thanks Christine! xx

Lorraine Donaldson

Well done. I learned more from this episode than interning with a photographer. To boot, being a graphic designer I learned more on how to use those brush tools. So, thank you. I hope you do create more videos on photography. Again, well done. 👏🏼👏🏼

Kristi G

Oh my heavens this was on of the most helpful videos ever! I loved it so much! I have never heard of a composite image. I’ve always wanted to start using photoshop but I never have! Thank you so much for this video❤️

Tyler Young

I would loveeeee a print of this!

Natalie Coleman

Loved this episode SOOOO much. A photoshop live stream day would be unbelievable. Pretty please make it European time-zone sensitive? ?? xxxxxx

Shelley

That was beyond fun to watch and so satisfying…. I used to do this like 1000 years ago and just love Adobe Photoshop, I haven’t used it in years and want to get back into it and this has full on inspired me to do so, I was legit on the edge of my seat watching this episode, thank you so much…. My mind is buzzing with ideas for my family portrait I would love to do in this creepy 🙌🏻✨🖤💋💀

Sarah Jane Holt

True about Photoshop, there is always more to learn! Thanks for the tips, and especially the tips on how not to stress out your pets while photographing them :)

Jennifer Lewis

This was so interesting and informative... I will have to try some of your photoshop techniques.. Thank you so much! The end result was worth all the work!

Margaux Allard

I thought about contest suggestions and think I might have a good one. What about a Spoofing contest in the form of a “personal disclosure” of all/or just one of the most important things the winner should tell you before they come to visit you? Like this: Dear Christine, I look forward to meeting you in person and having a slumber party with my favorite Artist! Just a few things I should disclose first: -I suffer from Trichotillomania, which is triggered by the ticking of clocks. -My personal plunger will arrive ahead of me. It’s very precious; it was handmade for me from the remains of my favorite toilet. -I am bringing the ten-year-old jar of Lutefisk I’ve been saving for a special occasion.

Katherine

This one is full of so many good tips. It’s gold! I’d love to do a photoshop day with you!

Casey Killoran

Wow! I use photoshop in a very limited capacity, and I would love to learn more! Did you take any photoshop classes, or do you have any recommendations for photoshop classes?

Meghan MacKrous

This was an amazing episode- thank you!

Emma Baxter

One of my favourite episodes!! ♥️

Holly MacPherson

I learned so many neat things from this video. Happy birthday! 🎉✨🎉✨🎉

Samantha Cooper

What a wonderful episode!

Cat

Yay!! So good! I use Photoshop every day for my job, and still learned so much from your process. Thanks for being so generous with your hard-earned knowledge! xo

Lisa Donohue

I really enjoyed this Video episode. Learned a lot. Thanks for sharing!

Dawn Klemn-Thomson

Oh! And happy birthday 😄🥳

CANIVET Priscille

First of all, love love love your channel :) So I’m like you, I’ve been doing photography & composition for a long time. There is 2 things that I love to use to make my life easier: with the Sony Camera you can connect it to the « imagine edge Mobile » app on your phone and/or iPad, and in that way while you are taking the photo of yourself you can see your poses live, check the lighting, the placements of the props etc… so cool! (I put my iPad on a tripod next to the camera, for quick set I put my phone next to me, and I’m able to take the photo myself, then I edit the phone out) And then when I edit, I mirror my iPad Pro to my computer and then I can use the pen instead of the mouse, as the result I have more control, it’s faster and for very long edits you hand will thank you :) - (or if you don’t have an iPad u can use a good old graphic drawing tablet)

CANIVET Priscille

Agh! I did not know this! I'm self taught, so there are gaps in my knowledge. Thank you so much for sharing this info :D

Christine McConnell

Happy Birthday! I'm sure this is completely unnecessary to mention, the sony camera's aren't SLR's, but technically mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses. The SLR is a "single lens reflex" it's the little mirror that flips down on the bigger cameras and is the thing that goes "clunk", where the whole perk of the sony is it doesn't have the mirror box, which makes it smaller and lighter, but still amazing full frame quality and has really amazing lenses to work from. So ideally, a mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses is what someone is looking for. Buying a DSLR now would be a little dated.

Kari Bellamy

love love love

Floor

Awsome video! Watching the photo shoot was really interesting, especially explaining the camera settings. Doing that much photo editing with a mouse is also a feat lol. I 100% recommend getting even a cheap drawing tablet, its so much easier!

Amanda Mongan

I do love

Harley Romero

Loved this episode. You never cease to amaze me. I see something titled "Family Portrait" thinking "Hum, will this even interest me...." Uh, YEAH! This was so much fun. I think all too often we think of family photos have having to be these stiff perfect captures of our families. So, having fun with it, theming it, and even playing with costume and color in a way that fits your family is awesome!

Shem Aronofsky

Happy Birthday Christine!

Carlos Ponce

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Sophia Z

Happy Birthday, Christine! 💞 🦇💞

Becky Hane

Happy birthday 🎂🥳🎉🎈🎁🎊 loved episode ❤💖💓

Sandra

Happy Birthday Christine!! I hope you have a fantastic day! Your new car is the thing dreams are made of, it's so beautiful!!

Natasha

Loved this episode! Happy birthday!!🦇

Veronica Karp

Happy 40th Birthday!!! Hope you enjoy your day!! Also, loved the episode!! Thank you for sharing!

Laurie B.

LED light bulbs have come a long way in terms of color. With the fancier ones, you can achieve multiple color temperatures and hues with one light. I would give them another look.

rachemus

✨🧁🍰Happy🎂Birthday🥂🧁✨

Katherine

I learned so MUCH! Thank you for all that you do!

NightShadeArtistry

Very informative, one of my favorite episodes yet! Would love more photography-related episodes in the future. Thank you Christine!

Janice Y.

Clearest description of ISO shutterspeed and aperture ever, C. Thanks so much. Feeling a bit more confident about approaching an actual camera for a pic instead of just using the iphone. Top pic too! Love that blurry flying bat. 🥂

Alaskan Rock Vodka

Love love love this episode! More photography please!

Sara Mason

Wishing you the happiest of birthdays!!! I loved seeing you in your new car! It suits you perfectly! 🎉🥳 🍾🎁🎂🥂

Sandra Martinez

Happy Birthday Christine!!!

Kris

Happy Birthday Christine!

Jenny Vasquez

I learned a lot from this episode, thanks Christine! By the way, LED Candelabra lights are a great alternative to Edison bulbs. They use an LED filament which throws a fairly soft warm light and only use 4-6 watts of energy compared to 60 watts with similar levels of luminosity.

Luke Clayton

Happy Birthday!! I love the new (old) car!!

Lynnetta

Happy Birthday!! :)

Anwyn Alene

Happy birthday, Christine🤗

Erika Hermanson

Happy birthday to you welcome to the 40 s club 🎉🎉🎉🎉Have a fantastic day greeting from Zafiro and Lorena 😘🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Lorena zitelli

🎈 🕷 HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🦇🎈

Genevieve Fernety

Happy birthday beautiful soul! Thank you for putting a smile on a strangers face with your craft!

Carmen G. P.

Happy Birthday Christine 🖤🎂 thank you for being so inspiring. I hope you have a wonderful day 🍰🎁🖤

Valhalla

Happy Birthday! 😺

Deb McGrath

🖤🖤Happy Birthday !!!! 🖤🖤

Ingrid Baudine

Thanks for all this valuable information. Happy Birthday Christine!

Belle Summer

This was really great and I enjoyed it so much. Thanks for all the advise.

Vicky

I loved this episode soo much!!!Amazing!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE!!!!! 🖤💜🖤💜🦇🖤💜🖤💜🦇🖤💜🖤💜

Danielle Gutierrez

I think this is my favourite episode!!! I love this, and my favourite part of photography is the editing. Happy birthday! x

Sara Sweeney

That is so very nice of you!

Kathryn Evers

This was so helpful! I might be able to get a picture of the four house wolves in one picture all looking in the same direction 😂🐾🐕🐾🐕. Happy birthday!!

Susan Eick

She said she only has artificial plants in the house because….. the live ones don’t survive. 🤭 So, the answer is almost 100% yes, they are artificial. But they look great, don’t you think.

Kathryn Evers

This was great! I hope you have a very happy birthday today!

Tim Metcalf

I had an idea! What if the contest was some kind of photography contest? Everyone has access to some kind of camera these days. There are lots of free photo editing apps if someone doesn't have photoshop. (People could also try a trial) It would be super fun and cool to see what people come up with! <3

Haley

Ooo love this so much! I'd love to see you dive deeper into more of your photography 🖤🖤🖤

Sian Rainbow

Loved it! Thanks so much! And I liked the idea of doing a live tutorial some time. Could you perhaps set it up where we can download each image you’ve taken and then composite along with you live? That would be a great way to learn!

Sally

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU - I LOVED IT!!! (Plus LOVED that is was longer than a usual video) :D

Sophia Z

Oh my goodness definitely get yourself a wacom. A cintiq if you can swing a petite one. Highly recommend and will save you hours. Watching you do so many finicky details w/ a wired mouse made my eye twitch! haha

Laura Camp

Professor Poof is such a natural model 🤣

Sara

I loved this video! I love photoshop and could watch these kinds of videos all day. Looking forward to more!

Susan R. Norwood

This was amazing to watch! Thank you so much for sharing your process & tips! This inspired me to do a few of my own photo projects! I absolutely admire the time & dedication you put into your work!

A.M. McPherson

Could you recommend mid-range and inexpensive tablets for the rest of us? Thanks!

rachemus

Perfect timing… I just got a professional camera and I’m used to phone photography. I learned a lot, and I’m inspired to push myself. Thanks for all these great tips and tricks!

Lucy Wolski

That was awesome to see the whole process!

Melisa

Thank you Christine! This has me so inspired. Are you able to share the download links from Deviant Art for the brushes?

Blondiewood

Loved this episode! And I love your plants! I’ve heard you mention Nearly Natural before. Are all of the plants in this video artificial?

Mallory Beckman

This was amazing!! Makes me want to try new things with photos! I am just learning to use my camera now and still saving up for a computer so I can actually edit them but I love learning as much as I can in the meantime! Thank you! ❤️ would you have any laptop suggestions for photography?

Lisa

You're so talented it's bonkers! I loved this video, was so interesting to see all the work that goes on behind just one photograph!

Martha Thursday

From a fellow Photoshop user, I highly recommend a Wacom pad or if the budget allows, a Cintiq screen. They save your hands, wrists, and your arms. I got tennis elbow from doing images on a laptop! I started with an Wacom Intuos pro medium sized pen tablet, then moved on to a Cintiq 22HD pen display. Both products have been good to me.

Justine

You did it again!! Great work, great content, loved it! ❤️

Zayda Gonzalez

No ideas for a contest BUT I do have an idea that using some clips from your contest winner's visit in the next YouTube channel video would be cool for the public to see and with 339,000 subscribers it would bring some new people to Patreon ;)

Angela Pogue

Amazing episode - one of my favorites. Learned a lot!

Margot Shteir-Dunn

THIS IS MY FAVORITE EPISODE IN A WHILE!!! I could watch 10 more of these, so interesting and so much to admire! You have so much skill and info to share on this, I feel so glad to be a patron rn!

Grace McEwan

That was so much fun, thank you and thanks for all the tips!

Laura

Amazing work and I cannot believe you did all of that editing with a mouse!?! I work in animation so if you need any reccommendations on a tablet I know of a few really inexpensive ones that could save you hours of work. But truly fantastic work as always x EDIT: I actually just remebered I have a couple in the house that i don't use because companies sometimes send me them to review etc. but they end up sitting in the box and i just gift them to friends. Some are just USB so it should be fine in the US if you want one. Let me know and I can get that to you as a belated birthday gift x

Matthew Robert Davies

It’s amazing how much work goes into one image and it’s so easy to forget how much when you’re just looking at the finished product! Loved loved loved this episode! It makes me want to take up photoshop again (used to play with it a lot in high school and fell out to focus on painting)

Jenna Goldsmith

Wow, I’m not huge into photography but this was so interesting! Makes me want to pick up my camera and see what I can do. I loved this!!!

Gina Radford

This was absolutely amazing thank you for sharing your skills. I'm entering into creating freelance video content which is very daunting when you're new to it all so appreciate these tips ♥️

Hannah

You never stop to amaze me in your creativity. It’s such a joy to watch your videos and what you are creating. 😃

Clara Salzmann

So fun, what a great tutorial! In my line of work (fantasy illustrator) we call this mash-up of photo reference "Frankensteining"!

Lindsey Look

Absolutely loved this episode! I learned so much and am looking forward to more photography/editing episodes

Ginia Hamilton

Oh that's a great idea!🖤

Vilma Valančiūnaitė

Just so gorgeous and you make it look so easy! Deceptively easy- inspiring!

Peaches McDrools

Can't believe you did this with a mouse! Your poor hands! I always recommend a drawing tablet for long hours at the computer

Sierra

Your captive ended up looking like Voltaire at the end! Love it. I definitely need to get my hands on photoshop and start messing around with it

willowflame13

I learned less than this in an entire college year 😅thank you!

Julia

Amazing episode exceeded expectations.

robin dewelles

I'm so glad that I'm able to learn new things from every single video you do. It's just amazing. Thank you for the massive effort you put into each one xx

Liana Palumbo

Christine, I just started supporting you as a patron, and this video made me so glad I did. Your attention to detail is amazing. I never understood the capabilities of Photoshop but now I am interested in licensing it and starting to use it for my own photos. Thanks for a great video!

Lisa Laforge

Ok, now I'm creeped out by that basement. I actually like that the dress form project was split up. I'm all for seeing projects spread out. Still waiting on the vintage car, but only if the captive has an official chauffeur livery.

Patrick Charles

Is there any hope for us to download a copy of the finished product? Grateful and blown away as always!

Sebastian

Just incredible. 🤯 Thank you!

Jenny Bruce

Yet again astonished by your talent. I am so appreciative of your videos and the motivation they give me to tackle (endless) new projects. I tell my boyfriend that I will just “McConnell It” and he’s always oddly reassured by that (for good reason). (The captive has also composed some excellent and fitting new pieces!)

Dan De Young

I absolutely LOVED this photog video! Learned so much and can't wait to see another! xo

Nan

Really loved this video! I could definitely watch more photography content.

Cassie

I so appreciate this! I wish we could all do our own and somehow share. Love it!

Haley

Yeah I feel like this is what photoshop is supposed to be used for. It’s like this photography and digital mashup that creates something that basically a painting. Maybe Christine should start selling some NFTs haha.

Genevieve Fernety

Love this! I wish I could explore that Grimm's Fairy Tales book, the older editions are so interesting. The oldest book I own is a Godey's Lady's book , 1860 vol. 61; it came out just before the Civil war. I really like the idea of a Photoshop livestream. This also means I can put my bunny Teacup into photos without stressing her out 🐰💖

Katherine

Watching this again and I’m also floored she isn’t using a Wacom tablet or something for all that digital work! I would go crazy doing that with a mouse!

Genevieve Fernety

Yeah there are some good soft warm lights LED out there now that are great especially at a lower wattage.

Genevieve Fernety

This was such an amazingly helpful video! Can’t thank you enough for the inspiration to plan out my own family portrait!🥰

Diane Lewandowski

Awesome episode. Yes, yes, yes to a photography series + photoshop livestream 🌹

Holly J’aDoll

Really impressive! I’m not an expert in Photoshop but do you use the quick selection tool? It really saves time on cutting out anything with hair or fur. Also, have you tried using a Wacom tablet? Some people prefer using a mouse but the tablet really saves my wrist from carpal tunnel.

Sandy

Amazing episode!

Garitt Knotts

I had no idea photography took this much work. I see my flaws in the mirror every day, if I had Photoshop skills like that... I'd 'shopp away!

Véronique Beaulieu

Omg I loved watching this! I might start picking up my camera again. So much to learn!

Lisa Thibeault

As someone who loves to listen to audiobooks while I work on projects, I recommend the author Terry Pratchett. I especially recommend his Witches, Death, and Night Watchmen series ( Death loves cats). The Hogfather is a good beginner book that centers on a fantasy version of Christmas. My family loves it so much we have a rat skeleton with a scythe as a Christmas tree topper.

Ava Woollen

This was so interesting. The photograph was spectacular. I will take one copy 8 x10 for my living room. Thanks.

Debra Palermo

I loved this episode so much. I was completely fascinated and enthralled the whole way through. Thank you!💜

Stephanie Payne

Loved this episode! I do pet photos at my grooming shop and this gave me a few more ideas!

Stacey Rowell

Hi Christine! Great information. Lol I thought I was a fiddler when it comes to setting up a shot. I agree with your feelings about lighting except the LED. I do use programmable LEDs that I adjust with my phone so that it works much like your professional light. The added benefit is I can also use it when setting the mood with my captive or a spooky book.

Nancy Conner

This is such a great episode! I learned a lot

Laura Chambers

Loved this episode so much. I was frantically typing out notes even though I could have paused at any time but I wanted to just keep watching. I could never ever be tired of anything that comes From the Mind of Christine McConnell

Vi

Thank you so much for sharing that with us!

katie scott

Awesome episode, loved seeing it all come together!

Christina

This was an amazing episode, you explained everything in a way that was understandable. I'd love you to do another similar episode with an over the top Halloween theme, this one was a very fun and cool concept too.

Brenda Karnes

Ugh, just when I think you couldn't possibly be more talented than you are, you prove me wrong. I went to college for Graphic Design and you still blew me away with your Photoshop skills. Learned some new tricks so thank you!! Think about doing some more vegan cooking episodes too. <3

Megan Beisser

Loved this episode so much!! Please do more photoshop episodes as you clearly know what you're doing so I want to learn all the tricks!

Kaylin Pagnan

So great! I would love to do that photoshop day. I am currently practicing my drawing skills and am aiming to move to digital art. I also will be trying some photography as well. Learning this program will a part of that. I'd love to have the chance to pick your brain.

Crystal Zwicker

I LOVED this eposide

Rita

Thank you for such and informative episode. More on this subject would be great. I would also like to know what equipment and programs are used to film your videos.

Lu Ann Trotebas

Thank you! I actually took Photoshop in college and enjoyed it a lot. It is very inspiring to watch you use it and create something creepily amazing.

marie davis

When you shared the Richardson Family photographs I thought. “Wouldn’t it be cool if Christine created a spooky “antique-looking” photo of her, the captive and fur babies as a Halloween Card!” Another wish was granted! This episode was magic! I’m hoping that if this is not the Halloween Card, then another spooky picture of all of you outside your mansion “Chesham Place” with the carriage and Mrs. Skeleton (Herbert and Estelle) and in your Halloween best would be sublime! A girl can dream! If there is no time…than a screenshot of the October 24th livestream in the library with photoshopped images with the rest of the fur babies would suffice. Hint, hint…wink, wink.

Sandra Martinez

Also just gotta say- Archimedes looks so dashing

Genevieve Fernety

So incredibly useful and inspiring, thank you!

Jessicka Catherine

Wow. Just wow. Amazing. Thanks for all of the tips, can't wait to implement some of them!

Mariana Escobedo

Such a talented family!! I don't want to compliment your captive too much, but the music was amazing too! I also loved the little black kitty with glowing eyes at the top of the stairs, (everyone looks so good)! Thank you for another great episode

Claire Abernathy

Btw, that absent naive look of your cat is so perfect.

Lucía

Your photos always remind me of the “I Spy” books I used to look through as a kid. I absolutely love how every inch of the photo has something interesting to look at

Jenna Myers

Superior episode!. So many things came into my mind when watching it. So much taste, congrats.

Lucía

This is wonderful. I've played around editing pictures a few times over the years, but this is really giving me ideas. Would definitely like to see more photography episodes.

Ivy Bombshell

Lorena zitelli

Thoroughly enjoyed that.... amazing to see the many steps and time it took you both to create that keepsake photo. My money well spent! 😍. Have A fabulous day!

Janeen

What a fantastic video! I love your dressing table! I spied your Dita in the top hat vase, I have that one too 🥰

Amanda Leib

New music too! Amazing! Do we have updated drop box links to the music ?

Annie Kendig

This was just absolutely wonderful. I think most controversial thing about photoshop is when you want to sell something and you don't really even have that product in your photo (like makeup) or when you perfect models bodies when you sell clothes.. It is not only a lie but also gives people insecurities. What you do is absolutely another story. You make art, you create stories and your editing is to convey a feeling. Your pictures are to DIE for <3

Vilma Valančiūnaitė

As a digital girl, this is something I can do! I can't wait to try! I'll probably have to leave the cat out though. Ha!

Rochelle

This was the episode I was hoping and waiting for!! I cannot begin to describe how inspired I am right now! I am going to adopt a cat and now that I have an idea of how to take pictures of them my apartment will now be filled with framed staged photos of my new pet. Thank you Christine!

Rachel Marts

I'm in love with the thumbnail

Dina

I love this so much!!

Jennifer Faria

Christine, what an amazing episode. Thank you for sharing your tips and I will use your tips for a photo shoot that I will be doing in October in my backyard. I plan to use my husband as my subject. He is going to be dressed up as Michael Myers. I am going to be setting up lights, fog machine, and pumpkins.

Mononoke Adams

I loved this! I can't wait to try some of this out!

Christine Peterson

I think an amazing live stream idea would be to interview the captive. What is it like being a captive to someone like Christine McConnell. What is it like on a daily basis. Doing projects, tearing apart the house for an epic photo shoot, baking through the night, etc etc. It would be fun to get a little insight on his perspective. But obviously he needs to do the interview while being chained and submissive hahahahaha.

Trista Patton

That was SUPER useful! Thank you, Christine!

Nicholas Frig

Such fun! As a professional retoucher I’m SO glad to hear someone talking about editing in a way that doesn’t turn PS into the bad kind of modern day Satan. Love your workflow, it’s exactly as bang on as I suspected. It’s made me want to drag my gel lights out too. Also - if you ever get a chance editing at a standing desk saved my back. I have a feeling you pull similar hours at the screen to me to get the episodes out and my back and shoulders wanted me dead till I made the switch.

Rachel Guy-Whittle

Thank you! Very informative! Will you share the finished photo in a format we can download?! 🖤🦇

Dawn Galusha

This has given me many ideas! Just wish I lived in a home that was photogenic. Tip: I noticed you’re using the trackpad and mouse. Have you tried using an iPad as a second display? It’s a game changer to take the pen and drag it on the image to paint and erase.

Gincredible

Christine! It's gorgeous... I Loved it. I want to know: what perfume were you wearing in your on-the-stairs photo? What is your favourite perfume? What are your favourite perfumes? What are you favourite scents in general. I Love to make my own, and find myself buying samples of perfumes to try if they come-up in a book, or a conversation, or a research. Eg: currently waiting on a sample of Narcisse Noir, which the movie, "Black Narcissus" was named after.

Mardi Shakti

Adobe should pay you to be one of their brand ambassadors with these photo editing skills!

Christine Papio

I look forward to the photoshop and beauty photography episodes.

Amazing episode! Loved it SO much. One of my favorites so far as I love photography too. And of course, you just take things to a whole other level of spooky delightfulness! I will for sure experiment with staging for my next portrait with some spooky things from around my house (I have tons!), especially come Halloween! And, thank you for the tips about lighting and editing. I am running to the store to get some incandescent lights and I just might grab myself a fog machine at Spirit Halloween! Thank you thank you thank you! P.S. YES YES YES on the Photoshop live stream and more photography espisodes! That would be awesome! :) <3
