I'm just a few days out from posting a brand new Oil Painting episode and wanted to let you know I'm planning a livestream for this Sunday at 10:00 AM PST :D
I have a REALLY neat update planned for this one...
In addition; I'll be filling you in on upcoming projects and I even have a few questions I'd like your feedback on!

2020-07-16 13:53:52 +0000 UTCSince they cancelled Sabrina, I went into a spiral researching why Netflix cancels things. Apparently, their whole business model is built around short series. They purposely cancel things as early as possible after they feel like they have enough content to keep people subscribing. They aren't pay per view like a network, so I don't think they want to renew things unless it's a blockbuster. I don't think there's much hope for Christine since they probably feel like they got everything they wanted in one season (I don't! :(.)

2020-06-17 17:44:48 +0000 UTCI only rewatched the first episode again so far and you are right. I especially noticed it when she was talking about the house cake. I believe her show has a very good fan base. I am sure that with the amount of people watching it and rewatching it they wanted to do something to make sure people keep coming back to it. Which is nice, but kind of crumby as well. Admitting the show is popular and still is, but not wanting to spend the money for new seasons, essentially. While I am sad the show isn't getting new seasons, I am super happy with what we do have from Christine as I enjoy her having more control and being able to do her art freely instead of being guided by corporate hands. Not saying they were doing that, but Netflix is a corporation and they tend to do what they do.

I think they added in a lot more dialogue about the details of each project as well as backstory on the characters. I don't understand why they would take the time to re-edit a show they'd already decided to cancel. I could also be going quarantine crazy?
