Great tip on the light bulbs, I was just at Home Depot wanting colored light bulbs. Thank you. 🥰

Jackie Blanch

Came across this house and thought ‘omg Christine McConnell would love this’! https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/203-S-Indiana-Ave_La-Follette_TN_37766_M89900-39241#photo8

Rebecca Mitchell

I bought the e-cook book

Florence Blocker

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! And, if you don't celebrate, happy Thursday!

Nicholas Frig

You could make an e-book instead of an actual book, or a series of several e-books. Then combine them into one for publishing at a later date. You could offer them to patrons who stay for a certain length of time 6 months - a year etc.

Vicky Neish

I loved the setup of your first book what with the theme of seasons. I think you could do a second book with sections like that, but instead of seasons, feature some new projects from categories like woodworking, baking, photography/set design, etc! Whatever you do though, it will guaranteed be EXCELLENT and all of us on Patreon would be thrilled to see it. Hope you’re doing well and happy house hunting for your dream place in the East!

Hali & Taylor Baird

A Christine McConnell coffee book with photos of all your shoots including dresses and characters you’ve designed outfits after. But also photos of all of your baking and projects you’ve done so far. I would hands down buy your book!

Holly Bagley

So sad I missed the livestream, but antique shopping took too long. T.T Is there any way you’d ever do a video for your wardrobe?

Hannah Lowenthal

Follow “cheap old houses” on Instagram. They post from all over the US, but a lot, if not most, are on the east coast. I love an old home with built ins 😍

Doreena Clark

hello, how did people find out Branch Devereaux had been broken?

Peggy

There's a lovely legally haunted Victorian house in Nyack, NY for sale right on the water: https://nypost.com/2019/09/19/legally-haunted-new-york-manor-is-for-sale-again/ It's also not too far from Sleepy Hollow Cemetery ... which is not only home to Washington Irving, but also was used as a shooting location for Dark Shadows. Oh, and it's active... with plots available. That's all.

Tara Clune

Thank you for responding!! ❤ I watch them from my phone that might also be the problem as well.

Merina Lewis

It's 35 Owen St. Eureka Springs, AR

Kris Rose

I watch from my phone which doesn’t let me comment during the streams. But I’m glad you had a good time in Salem. Soooo sorry about the broom. I work in Wilmington and at a large scale corporate printer but I would have packed and shipped it for you. I would loooove to see a tutorial on decorated lined boxes. And a gingerbread krampus would be adorable. You may also like the legend of the Christmas spider: I used to make those as ornaments as a kid. I think it’s a sweet tale. Where have you been looking for homes? Maine, CT, has some Victorians in Portland. Which isn’t far if you want to go to Salem. Here’s a few I found just in random areas on the East Coast. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/106-Lake-St-Moosup-CT-06354/2082336181_zpid/ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/83-Dartmouth-St-Springfield-MA-01109/56208237_zpid/ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8018-Rominger-Rd-Sugar-Grove-NC-28679/102295151_zpid/

Dracokiro

I once lived in Eureka -- what street is the house on? :)

Jamie Joy

I know you're set on the East coast, but may I suggest Eureka Spring, Arkansas? It's a Victorian resort town with tons of grottos and natural springs (hence the name) and it's got tons of super haunted looking homes. I just saw a listing for a Victorian house in need of renovation for $97,000. I bet you could get it for even less than that! There's so much to love about this quirky little town. I fantasize about buying an old house there myself someday. Just spend a few minutes on Zillow looking and I bet you'll find something you'd love to restore.

Kris Rose

Hi Christine, just subscribed and watched your newest stream. You have mentioned wanting to buy a house on the east coast. May I suggest Richmond Virginia. It is steeped in history (as you probably know). The architecture is beautiful. A lot of victorian, gothic revival flair. Great place for antique hunting. Fun arts district. My favorite is the Edgar Allen Poe museum....anything Poe is a winner for me. Well, wish you happy house hunting.

Pamala S Gillis

Oh man, I'm so sad I missed out on watching this last night! I had such a long day and I fell asleep on the sofa! 😂 You better believe I'll be up in the middle of the night to make cookies with you guys tho, I'm so excited for that 😁

Sarah Kane

Finally caught up - such amazing projects!! Can't wait for the episodes!!! I NEED to see that coffin box made! Was wondering about the bulbs: have you tried it with LED ones? (and if that's what you were using - sorry!) That might help with both the temperature and the life-length, and they make them in so many different strengths\styles it should be possible to find something that fits

Naama

I haven't watched it yet, what were the names that won?! I saw a lot of clever ones!!

Melinda Collins

Hi Christine! Will you be listing the products or picturing the makeup giveaway so everyone can see what was in it?

Tiffany Marie Gossett-Ramirez

Honestly, I cannot wait to see what Grant does with the music for the Christmas episode!

Nicholas Frig

I would love a collection book for each year/season of Patreon crafts and projects. You could offer it for sale with discounts based on tiers.

Jessica shipman

Self publishing on Patreon is such a great idea! If you’re open to ideas for it a simple crafts book would be cool. Maybe a theme for it could be the things you love &/or inspire you. Your pets, people, tv shows, seasons etc anything goes :)

Carnation

sorry, I hit the wrong button, my new suggestions is: Cremation Foundation

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

Who won the make up kit? I have a new name suggestion:

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

I missed the livestream, but LOVED watching it later! Omg, I'm so glad to have found this great site and I love the postings.

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

Congratulations to the winners of the contests, great names!

Nicole Richardson

I'm just self taught to be honest. I did a lot of reading on the subject and talked to other tintype photographers through Facebook. There is a page called "Collodion Bastards" you should check out on there. A book you should definitely get as a jumping off point: "Chemical Pictures: The Wetplate Collodion Book: Making Tintypes, Ambrotypes, and Alumitypes" . It a great start on learning the process. I called my business Ruby Bellows Tintype because my camera from 1915 has ruby colored bellows lol. I got into tintype because I was inspired by a box of old photographs my great grandmother had. Every photo in that box was a post mortem photograph of a relative and there were two actual tintypes of dead people (eerily fascinating, I know). I was so taken by that I decided to learn about the process and finally jumped in a purchased a camera and the equipment. You can see some of my work in my portfolio if you were interested: www.rubybellowstintype.com

Sheena Dorton

a suggestion for your book maybe a "coffee table" book for patrons of your past creations and projects, or perhaps one documenting the process of rennovating and decrating your new home.

Robin D.

Sheena how did you get started with it? I'm a photographer and I've been dying to get into tintype or some other similar chemical process but there aren't really any classes in my area for it.

Katie

I would love any book that you want to make! I like the idea of an eclectic craft book with things like the lightbulbs and other little projects you might do around your house. That way you could include a little bit of everything you like to do.

Lauren M

I am so sorry I missed your live steam last night ( I live on the East Coast). I am looking forward to the upcoming videos!

Robin D.

I am sorry I missed the live stream last night but am glad I can catch up today!

Robin D.

Thank you again for sharing your creativity and time with us!! Really enjoyed it! <3 <3 <3

Melanie Dunn

Loved seeing all the animals show up one at a time, mini project. I could barely sleep I was so excited... Thank you!!! 💕💯💕😍

Christina

thank u for blessing our lives with ur creativity! ❤️

Nurul Asyiqin Mohamed Fadzil

I'm almost done catching up on the live stream! My favorite idea mentioned in this video is a book of all your photo shoots! <3 <3 <3

Rachel Logan

Awesome, thanks heaps for that 😊

Heather Anderson

I love that your fur babies join your lives! Don't lock them up. Their appearances are adorable. 🥰 Also don't feel weird for making your own coffin or being buried with your baby. I took a pottery class in college and as my major project I made my own urn because I want to be cremated. When I die I want all my furbabies' ashes to be mixed in there with mine. For now they sit in their special little boxes waiting for me over the rainbow bridge.

Caitlyn ODonnell

I love that your fur babies are in the videos!! Don't lock them up 🥰 their appearances are adorable.

Caitlyn ODonnell

Christine, pretty please show us how you’ll decorate your home for Christmas. Maybe homemade ornament video?

Christine Zittell

❤️❤️❤️

Gabriel Vaughan

Just click on it. YouTube will come up and you can watch it at your leisure. :-)

Nicholas Frig

I missed it too, it's always at such an awkward time and I'm often working 😔 who won? Is there anyway we could access a recording of the Livestreams in future so for those of us who can't make them don't miss out completely??

Heather Anderson

Oh no. I missed it 😢

Alissa Case

I'm so sad I missed this, and just barely! I loooooove the idea of making your own coffin - I don't know if you would consider having guests/interviews, but if you know/know of Caitlin Doughty, she seems like a person to talk to about your coffin. And if you don't know of her, she's a young, goth, female mortician with a youtube channel who is spearheading a Death Positivity movement and green burial. She has a blog post about having a funeral for her beloved kitty that was just...so lovely. Having her on as a consultant or something would be like...my head would explode from two of my favorite mistresses of darkness collaborating on making a coffin and headstone. 💀💀

Kathleen Bennallack

Great live stream, thanks Christine! P.S. The bonus little craft project was a nice surprise. What a good idea!

Wednesday

Loved it!! For a book I would do something fun and easier like a photo book. You do take such great photos of things. Just pictures of your current house...I’d buy the book! I’m also interested in all the things you do to decorate your house. The wallpaper would be interesting. How you buy and restore things. I can’t wait until the next house!

Ninon Crane

What was the winning name? (I know its not mine, but it seems to have had a good reaction)

Elizabeth Dale

I fell asleep :( who won??

Grayce

Thank you so much for the Livestream! It was super fun and so beautiful! <3

Robyn Moore

I’m so excited for the idea of the krampus gingerbread cookie! Looking forward to the videos coming out this week. That box is to die for.

Whitney Haddad

Good night. Thank you !

PennySized Dreadfuls

I think you should do a Spooky Christmas Christine style "Get Ready With Me" in front of your vanity with all your fave products -- like no one else can!!! :)

Nan

Oh and that is Dr. Suess's Mulberry St.

Kirsten Perez

Two words: Western Massachusetts https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/63-Mulberry-St-Springfield-MA-01105/56221317_zpid/

Kirsten Perez

I would love to learn how to learn better on camera. someone told me, "Judy, you are not really ugly, but you take really ugly photos!" And they meant this as a compliment.

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

Photo book!!! Yesss

PennySized Dreadfuls

I feel dumb, how do we comment in the livestream? I’m on an iPhone

Kym Storms

The dog just looked at the camera as if to say “who is she talking to?’ Rofl!

Kelly Skelley

A cook book for our Patreon would be awesome.

Judy

Oh my God put me on the list to buy your next book!!!!!!!

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

I love the bunny slippers!

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

Self-publishing for patreon? DO EEET!!!

Andrew Kaplan

You should definitely get into tintype photography just because the details of your projects would look amazing on wet plate. ❤️

Sheena Dorton

I would love to see Christine do this!!

Kitty Lang

Rachel! Props to you for winning the apron! omg, your name was a scream! I know I am screaming! :)~

Judy K. Zamlen-Spotts

UPS store are a bunch of amateurs. Not the fault of the employees- they are just regular shmoos - not art or antiques preservation specialists.

Alfreda Payton

I hope you get to collab one day and release your own interior design decor lol

Lauren Ashley

Would you like to do any old school tintype photography? I'm a tintype photographer and creating portraits with chemicals is my jam.. I just want to bring that up because it was popular in the mid 19th century and it fits your current aesthetic 😀

Sheena Dorton

How did you meet the fabulous Dita Von Teese??

Merina Lewis

I did a series of memento Mori images with film and Victorian set design, but I purposely did a set in digital as well. Some fine art commentary involved, as well as the industry rumor about “film being dead” lol.

PennySized Dreadfuls

Hey Christine!!

Merina Lewis

2019 Financial Times article with MAPS! "How we fell for old cheap houses". Locations of old houses and mansions that need rescue in America. https://www.ft.com/content/5b0a3704-6113-11e9-b285-3acd5d43599e

Sonja Tompkins

Greenwood Cemetery! It was first called the Necropolis and in the Victorian era people would picnic by the graves

Lisa Pompilio

I want a family grave under the willow tree we planted so everyone will be buried there to decompose and we’ll have memorials for each person hanging on the tree. We’re passing our land down to our kids

Heather

There’s a site called Circa that curated old houses for sale in the US, I’m sure you’d enjoy perusing it!

Michelle Holbrook-Pronovost

I would love to hear about mr biggles if it's not too difficult for you to speak about him. I love how you love your animal babies so much. Makes my heart smile.

RemexBella

You should look around northeastern ny/adirondacks, tons of wonderful old victorians, in saranac lake they have a interesting history of treating TB with the fresh air, my home area. Its so beautiful!

Kelly Skelley

Gina Radford

Will your husband show up on a live feed someday?

Monica Lopez
