They wouldn't be so stupid as to try and get their power levels as high as they are if it wasn't for a reason. Dante went out of his way to Make Goku aware of his father's death despite Goku already being mad enough at the loss of his son. So it doesn't matter how many worlds they saved they never even had a clue that the insurance in lucifs plans being able to come to fruition, hinged upon an even stronger bond with the Saiyan's. The only way that could happen is by blinding them in murderous demonic rage
