Trunks is from a different timeline where goku dies from heart virus manages to somehow defeat everyone and go through similar events to ultra vegito or grand priest trained him or could be time patrol trunks that vegito absorbed and separated like goku and vegeta did idk

I thought the candy beam would only capture the energy and, if needed, activate it. Also, it's weird for Yamoshi to think that Vegito would definitely need the demon's energy.

That is the only reason why he came to yhr current timeline to warn goku of the danger of lucif great plan that he doesn't need the full truth behind.

Perhaps it's the same character with Green eyes we've seen foreshadowed in the first demon realm episodes . ;)
