I don't think Buu is entirely gone. When Vegito uses his Cell regeneration ARJ says "It wasn't just Buu, it was this mysterious silver and green color." Leading me to believe Buu has been heavily nerfed, but maybe not entirely gone. So maybe SOME of his powers are gone/disabled for the time being. Only time will tell. Vegito still talks like he can reabsorb Goku and Vegeta at any time though. Just to give some hope in regards to Buu still being around.

Vegito should be able to regenerate that smited Buu goo, thus he should be able to still Buu-absorb people. When he reassimilated with everyone, he literally turned them into Buu goo, so who’s to say it’s not something that simply takes time to recover? I think it is a little more than just acknowledgment of power. He’s acknowledging the potential of a mortal(not just the power), meaning he was enlightened by the fact that mortals aren’t necessarily the lesser beings he thought they were. That in itself changes his prejudice, thus redeems him as a character. Vegito isn’t planning on letting his power go to waste, so he will probably absorb him in a way that does not kill him entirely.

Exactly. His so called ability that he claims that he can turn lucif energy back into light obviously was a lie as it only make him corrupt by his dark energy.. he can't change the darkness back into divine light that lucif used to be like. Dai fool himself with this one. He will soon see the consequences of this ability soon as I know lucif will used this to his advantage to either weaken Dai or corrupt him more into darkness like him.
